No they're not. In fact, all the schools that had polling stations in them here in California had kids still going to classes.

Kerry Fan, what state do you live in?

I just voted at my polling place this morning.
Apparently, someone forgot to tell the polling volunteers that this would be the largest turnout in election history. AT 7:15am we were all crammed (about 30 of us) into a small lobby in a tiny private school in the Mission. While little kids kept trying to penetrate the line to get to class, the meager 8 polling booths filled up immediately and I had to vote on the floor. But it was worth it.

So go vote!

And no, Amidala and Jabba aren't related.

Pfftt. I voted weeks ago using absent ballot, but they don't give you a sticker for that. How about just confirming or denying the rumor that Amidala turns out to be the third cousin of Jabba the Hutt in Ep 3?

Vote on Nov. 2.
Every freakin' vote actually DOES count...unless you live in Alaska that is...
