Caralee. I surely wish I knew the answer to your problem, because I have exactly the same problem with my son. It is so hard to be the parent of an intelligent kid who does not seem able to do the schoolwork that is required. I can have him sit for litterally hours at a writting assignment and find he has written one or two sentences. My son did graduate from high school. I enrolled him in a community college. He said this is what he wanted to do, but he is not able to keep up. I'm sick, worring that he is flunking out. He is stressed out and depressed. We have not been able to work out anything that has helped with him actually being able to get his homework done. I tried getting him a lap-top computer, but that has only turned out to be a distraction. The accomodiations provided by the school are not helping. The assistance was too late and not really what he needs, but I don't know what would help. It is 3:00 a.m. and I can't sleep. I wish I knew how to help our boys.
