I've never smoked; but my ex mother-in-law (who I loved very much) smoked quite abit. I can remember my babies blankets and clothes smelling like smoke; but there was no way I was going to keep my children away from her. They would have missed the best grandmother in the entire world. It's REALLY hard for me to say something to others about their smoking habits; because we all do things that aren't healthy.

I like cigar smoke. I don't smoke them but I think the aroma is cool. It's kinduva guy thing. I don't know, do women hate cigar smoke? Of course I never saw a woman smoking a stogie. It is bad enough kissing a babe who smokes cigarretes. Maybe the cigars would be worse but don't stop me from smoking.

Did you ever look outside of any store and see how many smokers put out there buts on the sidewalk or parking lot? my neighbor always puts hers out by the side of my yard and the wind blows them in to my garden. She doesn't care about her yard but I do. I mean I care about my yard and don't want old cigarettes on the ground.

i hate it when my parents smoke around me before I go to school. When I get to class I smell like an ashtray. I wonder how many people think I smoke because of the way I smell. Plus, it isn't doing me or my parents any good to be whiffing all that smoke.

I was riding up a ski lift and the guy who got on with me went to light up. At first I was aanoyed, then I realized it wasn't a cigarette and he was willing to share. By the time we got off the lift, I wasn't annoyed at all.

I smoke and I don't smoke around people who don't like it, have allergies, etc. On the elevator once, a woman loudly berated me for 16 floors because I was holding a cigarette. I pointed out to her that it was UNLIT. She continued to scream at me. As we were getting off I said to her, "Lady, I think your problems go a lot deeper than my smoking. You might want to check it out." Another time, I was walking down the street and an older woman stopped me to yell "You're gonna die!!" I countered with "...and you're gonna live forever?"

My soon to be ex-wife's sister came to visit from California, and she is what I call a smoking natzi. If she is going into a store and someone is outside smoking, she will aproach them and tell them off. Surprisingly no one has went back off on her. I drew the line that night when we went out to eat, and after we had waited 30 min. for our food, see saw someone, through a reflection in a window on the other side of this large restaurant, smoking. She got up and said Lets go! Im not going to eat here! I stayed right there and ate my dinner. Now I dont think you should smoke, but I Definitely dont think you have the right to ack like that!

I am talking as an X-Smoker. And I do respect other peoples lifestyles. I grew up around smokers and have lot of good friends who smoke. And a lot who do not smoke. I don't look down on either. If there smoke bothers me I just move on. When I did smoke and knew it bothered someone, I would do it a way from them. There is room in this world for everyone. Even though we don't agree with it all.
