With the help of John Kerry and the UN, I hope they get to go home to their families soon, and don't have to go back.

Today is my son's 20th birthday and he is a proud member of the H&S Company of the 3/1 currently serving in Iraq. All of his family and friends in Texas send their love and support and birthday wishes. We will have the biggest birthday bash waiting for him when he returns home! Happy Birthday, Ryan!

Thanks for the timely posting. I was curious as to what members of our military serving in Iraq thought about the election and how they felt about the candidates.

It will be interesting to see now that Bush has probably won, when 3/1 will be leaving for Falluja. I bet they go in a day or so. "Make us proud boys, and come home safe."

Kevin , what's really happening in Falluja ? I just read the blog "Bagdad burning " and as usual I feel awfull by it. Tell us what is really going on , Do the Iraki people really hate americans ? How is life for everybody ? Kids are back to school ? In "bagdad Burning " she claim that there is no more humanitarian organisation and they make a collect to buy staff for Irakis , Is it that bad ?
Stay safe, those people beheaded ..it's scary....even 2 French Journalist have been kidnapted.
Bush is back for sure , what do the Irakis think about it ?

I hope you can get more info on the discovered "slaughter house." Post some pictures of it; (scenes of the most horrific and disgusting acts committed and then used in the name of God.) It is depressing to hear so many Marines are wounded and killed, especially by ambush. Pentagon should give them double kevlars.

kevin...thanks so much for all the wonderful work. you have become one of the few only reliable sources from iraq that the families of these boys can rely on for the truth. i look forward to your articles on-line. It is a sad day in america when the press is afraid of reporting the truth and we must find alternative methods of information. Tell those young people we love them and we will never forget what they are doing. P.S. If you run across a young so. ga. lad named patrick, tell him that i crank that damn motorcycle every week and it's beginning to stink up my bonus room!!!!! Yall hurry home safely.

Kevin - As a long time reader of your blog, I felt the need to pass on a word of admiration for your posting your account of the shooting in the masque. I feel it is invaluable that those viewing the video truly can witness your unpartisan position and empathetic flavor toward the war. Please keep in mind that those expressing negative options about your releasing the tape, would have them regardless who was in that unfortunate position. IT IS NOT PERSONAL! They are judging what they think they see, and are angry at you, only for making them face it. It would not have mattered who was on the other side of the camera, any predisposing would have been the same. You had no choice but to release the tape. For what it is worth, I had held previously a respect for yourself as a journalist, but I know have a greater respect for you as a human. Your inclination to resist obsequious behavior speaks volumes as to the man you are.
I guess that you are by now well aware that it is always the first inclination to shoot the messenger, if you choose to be one, you can only learn to duck!!! Peace and safety......a grateful reader.
