Dawn, Are you referring to Michael Jackson's death?

Mieko, I apologize for not doing my homework on that quote. I usually check things out myself before I believe them but I saw the quote out of context and took it at face value. When I took the time this morning to actually look up the interview I saw that she was definately referring to running a foot race.

For Sarah Palin to suddenly resign from her position when she still has 18 months is not only suspicious but definitely not good for her should she choose to run for some other office. If she can't handle the heat, she shouldn't be in office in the first place. And her resigning from her position will fare badly because nobody wants to elect a person to an office term who does not fulfill their office terms from other positions. It's a very bad stragedy on her part. Should she attempt to run for President, she will be the laughing stock of America. I will be laughing my ass off at her because not only is she a hypocrite but is not reliable when it comes to getting the job done.

And to think that there will most likely be a trial for criminal manslaughter....Amazing....

Palin was refering to beating Obama in a "running" race. She is really into jogging and long-distance rumning.

Yah...You betcha....wink...wink

Sorry Lindy I just couldn't stop myself. LOL

Fox News is saying Palin is believed to have resigned to position herself for a Presidential campaign. I did see her quoted last week as saying she could beat Obama in 2012. Geez I hope the US isn't that stupid. I think with no clear Republican front runner she thinks this is her time to court the GOP bigwigs. After her horrible performance during the interviews while campaigning for VP I would think she would have dropped to last place on their list of possible candidates but possibly thats just wishful thinking on my part.

Now that I have listened to sarah Palin's rambling self involved announcement, Maybe MJ wasn't so bad? Couln't some REAL news happen to knock these two stories off the front page?

I am sick of the 24/7 MJ coverage too. The other day I heard someone on TV say that Barack Obama owes his presidency to MJ...gaad! Give me a break.
My washer is 31 years old. In fact everything I have is about 31 years old and probably ready to blow up. Except hubby. I might be willing to trade him in for a 31 year old...but just for a weekend...ha.
Karen...oh poor Petey. He still hasn't found a forever home?

Bug, Get the progressive ones and you'll adjust to them faster. Not to mention they look better.

The washer in no longer under warrenty. I am not having a good day. After researching washers all morning we picked one from Best Buy that was on sale. It turns out that they are out of that one and say it will take a couple of weeks to get it back in. Of course they have plenty of the higher priced ones in stock. I guess that means we try somewhere else. I don't want to wait two weeks unless I have to and I am not going to be pushed into buying one of the more expensive fancy ones when all I want is a reliable washer thats big enough inside for our comforter.

We're not doing anything big for the 4th either. We might go over to the ballpark for the fireworks but we aren't having anyone over. Frankly we are bone tired. My MIL is having a lot of problems with memory and altered behavior. We are at the point where decisions need to be made but her children are having trouble agreeing on a solution.

I think you and I would probably have very similar things to say about MJ and those parents.

Stinks about the washing machine. Of course, the warranty won't cover it either, huh?

Happy 4th everyone. No plans here. Just going to see how Manny reacts to the fireworks in the neighborhood. Stopped in the shelter's storefront today to look at the little dogs and maybe say hello to the founder, but it was busy so just looked. Saw Petey--Lindy, you liked him right? Anyhow, his picture does not do him justice. He's much cuter in person and he's a little butterball! He's almost as wide as he is long LOL

Hello Bourne how's your new life; I see; You know exactly where is Ventura blvd. it's the most famous blvd. here in the Valley; and you said your mom was work on Ventura blvd. close to the Holiday Inn Motel. I know where it's; But now is media and fans only. Maybe you remember Gelson's Market that parking is complete full every single day.(since Michel's died).

My washing machine that is only 4 years old has died. I am so annoyed. My first washer lasted 20 years. It needs a new transmission so I've been told it probably makes more sense to buy a new washer then to have it fixed.

Hey SWEETY BLONDIE! Encino was right up my alley as far as neighborhood. I'd say it was about a mile in a half away. My mom used to work for MJ's attorneys in Encino (Lewitt, Hackmann, Hoefflin, Marshall, and Shapiro). I believe they represented him regarding his personal estate back in the 80's. Their office is right on Ventura Blvd at the corner next to a Holiday Inn motel.

I was a fan of his music in the early days when he first became a solo artist but he was everywhere and before too long I was sick of him. I think Thriller was probably the last thing of his that I bought.

When the stuff came out about his odd behavior with little boys I was really creeped out. Maybe being the parent of a little boy magnified my feelings but I always thought he was probably guilty. Just the things he admitted to like the sleepovers, sharing the bed with kids and playing with them in their underwear all day etc was such inappropriate behavior and the fact that he thought it wasn't made my skin crawl. And you don't want to get me started on the failings of the parents who took their kids over for those sleepovers especially the ones who did it even after the stuff came out from the first case.
