This stie isnt so much very low key as it is obsolete. I encourage all to seek out who they are wanting to reconnect with to go to Facebook.

Hi, I have no idea where everyone went - it was very low key. I still have messages set to forward to my work email just in case someone checks in. I think even Ashlynn stumbled in here thinking it was some kind of cooking site since the last topic was meatballs! Since tomorrow is Purple Tie Friday, I will have to tune in - it's been awhile since I have watched Bill/A.N. even.

Hello one and all. It's good to be back but it looks like everyone packed up and left since the last time I was here. Where did you guys go?
Maiden, The only porcupine meatballs I've every had were basically regular meatballs but they had a lot of rice in them which sticks out here and there hence the porcupine part.

Hi, Ryejen And hello to the Hemmerati. It's been very hot and muggy where I'm at. I spent the Fourth of July enjoying some music and watching the fireworks display. Didn't see any ufo's like last Fourth of July. But I had time off to myself for a change. I needed it so badly. As I write this, I'm making myself a late dinner of steak, baked potato, and some raw brocolli. Then, I'm off to bed. I look forward to the weekends now that I actually have them to myself to take myself out to dinner and a theatre play if I desire. Hope everyone is keeping cool. It's supposed to rain on the weekend with thunderstorms. I never saw such thunderstorms of intensity like what I see in this region. Just bizarre. Edited 07-12-2012 12:02 AM

Gonna guess that this board, for the most part, has become obsolete. I would suggest checking on Facebook if people want to re-connect with Scar, karen etc. etc....Hope everyone is well!

Hi Ryejen. Welcome. This board slows down occasionally, but always picks back up. It's the nicest bunch of people. I just hope that the reason for the quiet is not that they are sitting without power. Please no.

I am so glad to see a message here. I missed reading what you guys have to say about your dogs, and families - even if it's not about Bill anymore. I'm in the Seattle area, and for us, we are getting some nice weather finally. I can't even imagine the heat everyone else gets though. I wouldn't make it.

Are anyone of you without power during these weather shenanigans? It's hotter than h#** here, but thank goodness for air conditioning. I hope everyone is OK.

Hi Lindy. Happy belated Birthday to you. I'm in the northern part of Wisconsin right now still. On Saturday, I, my co-workers and all hosted a dinner for the Republican Party. We will also be hosting them for the Democratic Party as well next week. Anyways, I finally met (in person) with my Congressman on an issue I had addressed to him by letter a year ago concerning Fourth Amendment privacy issues and how certain federal alphabet agencies flout the law to get around the Constitution to violate ones privacy. He came into the kitchen and I had to quickly take off my gloves as I was working on some dishes to clear away. He shook my hand and acknowledged the letter. His assistants, vetted me out carefully before I got a chance to meet with him and I thanked them for the opportunity for me to meet with him. Apparently, my letter must have made a positive impression on him as he remembered reading it. Later, one of my co-workers made a comment saying she grew up with his family and that anytime I need to send up a letter she would be happy to be the courier service. I thanked her but I told her I prefer to use his office concerning any communications and that it is not necessary to involve his family on official business. I strongly dislike having to deal with Mickey Mouse games involving nepotistic surroundings mixed with ones official duties to their constituents. I like to keep it simple and formal.

Yes, we can wear sandals as long as they have a back to them (not flip flops or slide on sandals, although I have gotten away with some of my birkenstocks :D). Toe's all better. The icing and buddy wrapping did the trick. Zoo trip was today, buddy wrapped it to be safe and wore one of my good sneakers (1 of the 2 new pair I bought for walking). No pain tonight :D Have to check out that link for the porcupine meatballs!
