Here is the letter I sent out to get permission to use sites.

Dear XXXX,

I am interested in linking to your web page from an educational based website that I am creating for a Masters course through CW Post. This is a graduate program called Team. I would like to know if I could use your logo on that page in order to provide a visual for accessing this page. In no way is this a commercial site and I only intend this site to be used for educational purposes.
