So you want to rank the lists in ascending order of the value column.
Is that right? Then have the top 3 shown in a different sheet?
If so, I would sort the columns and read the first three sets of data from the second sheet. Do you think that would do it?

Hello Zolu,
Perhaps if you can explain the purpose of your formula it might be possible to work out an answer.
Thanks
Richard

Because Match returns the first instance of a match. Which in this case is 1. for both the 1st and 3rd item in the array.

John,
Try this....select the cell where you want the data and then click in the formula bar and then either right click and select paste or ctrl+V _________________

I am trying to paste text from a PDF document into Excel. When I paste it each line goes into a seperate cell. Is there a way to stop this?

If I have a cell containing a code I83A452 -- which function do I use to extrapolate a portion of the code to fall into another cell? For example, Cell A1 contains the code above. I wish to have cell B1 read only I83A. I've done this before, but I can't seem to recall the formula.
Thanks every so much for your help.
