Have you ever tried prayer sharing groups? It works wonders. 4-20 people get together and pray for each other. Start by talking amongst each other and finding out what each person needs in their life, what they are lacking, what they need fulfilled. You tell them yours.
And 30-60 minutes later, it's prayer time. The host of the group, reads a Bible scripture that they have chosen that relates to helping each other. Then everyone holds hands and the host leads them in prayer to our Father. Then each person in the group presents their own prayer request along with the persons on both side of them. Everyone in the group will get 2 prayers. Send 3 out, get 2 in return! :)
The key is to listen to each other, so that you know what to pray for. You will hear what the person ahead of you prayed for so that you know what you need to ask for, but you'll have to remember the person on the other sides prayer. Alot of times you just need to know their name and ask to send them many blessings and keep them strong. God listens.
A prayer group sends your messages to God clearer because of the unity of so many people. It's different than church prayer only in the fact that each person carries a request for someone else as well. Each person seeks help, but also seeks help for their brothers and sisters at the meeting. God loves when his children get along and this will make him very happy. I suggest that you organize one today! You'll see that your prayers are answered!
