I'm living in Georgia, married, 6 children and 10 grand children. I haven't lived in Fairview for a hundred years and have been in touch with only a few folks. I'm truly looking forward to next year's reunion.

Sandy and I have been married for almost 38 years after meeting at Illinois State University. We have lived in Elgin, IL (Chicago area) for the last 37 years. I retired last June after 35 years of teaching and administration with Elgin Public Schools. We have two sons, ages 34 and 29. Both of them enjoyed a considerable amount of success and travel with rock bands before settling down. Scott is married and is a manager of the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago. Peter is also married and is currently working as a firefighter and paramedic, along with his wife, in Antarctica. I hope to make the reunion in August...would be interested in hearing from others now in the Chicago area.

I sure hope I can make it to the class reunion. I have not lived in Belleville since the late 60's. I do visit occasionally. I am married to Denny Smith who is a native Atlantan (not many can claim that). We have two daughters (Correll (24) and Michelle (37)) and 4 grandchildren. Denny is self employed (Marine Specialty House - electrical fishing equipment)and I work for the Federal Government (33 years). I currently work for CDC as a Public Health Analyst.

Fascinating to read these marriage histories. Mine is a little unusual, I suppose. Married twice and divorced twice before I hit 30, then spent many years thinking I was looking for No. 3 when I now realize I mostly was looking to avoid No. 3. As the poet Ovid said, "I flee those who pursue me and pursue those who flee me." It's an effective way of staying single, even when you don't realize that's what you're doing. And it's not as if San Francisco isn't a great place for meeting women, what with so many of the men only having eyes for each other. Anyway, no kids. Might have been nice, but it's too late now, and I'm at peace with that. I seem to very unusually well suited for being happy alone. And I've had a long, stable, loving relationship with my 18-year-old diabetic cat.

After leaving Illinois, my ex-husband and I owned and operated three retail shops and a Barter Exchange in NC. After Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama, all work related moves, we moved to AZ in 1986. Though divorced in 2000, we are still in tough. We have a wonderful, talented son, Ben, 24, who is pursuing a degree in International Law. I married Don Slusar, a Milwaukee native. here in Mesa, Arizona about 1.5 years ago and inherited three more children, and two grandchildren. We are both teachers in the Mesa Unified School District..74,000 students strong. It sure is fun to see what people from BTHS are doing now.

Wow - talk about a walk down memory lane. What fun to read the bios. JB, who's from Chicago, and I have lived on the East Coast for 30 yrs, 25 in CT. Still find it difficult to state I've been living in one state for 30 years -- I keep thinking that 30 is my age! JB and I have been married for 32 yrs and have two terrific kids, Erica 25 and Matthew 23. Both (finally) graduated in 2004, after being on a somewhat 'extended' program --- oh well, it took yours truly a few more than the standard 4 yrs to get through U of I, but, as I tell the kids, that was the 60s and time was a fluid through which we hippies passed. No grandkids yet - we're hoping Erica and Matthew do it the old-fashioned way and get married first, but that's not a requirement.

After graduation from high school I went to BJC and U of I. I got caught up in all of the late 60's stuff. We will never have another era lin history like that again. I graduated with a degree in accounting. Got married to a man that was transferred every year in his job. We moved 13 times in 14 years. Had two sons then divorced. I had to get a job then and decided that accounting was boring.I went back to college at the University of Kansas and earned my Masters in geography ( I know doesn't sound much better than accounting)but for the past 20 years I have been a cartographer the government in the Kansas City area and love it. I also wanted to explore spirituality for my own personal growth and eventually became an ordained minister. I read, camp, canoe, still go to a lot of concerts, have a antique booth, collect autographs, bake gourmet cheesecakes for my friends (of which I have sampled a lot) and really enjoy my granddaughter. My oldest son is a restaurant manager and my youngest son is a painter. I'm fortunate because we all live in the K.C. area and can visit whenever we want. I am planning on coming to the reunion next year. Hope to see everyone there. Take Care

Hi, I have been married for 5 years, but co-habitated for 20 years before that. My husband Gary has one son - Gary Jr and we have two great grandkids - Joe 13 and Abby 5. They are great kids and Joe wants to be a rock star, he plays guitar and Abby just wants to have fun for now. I worked for BCBSMo for 30 years - now work for Majestic Travel in St Peters, Gary retired from Boeing after 38 years and does loads of wood-working projects for people. We hope to do a bit of traveling, as soon as our best friends get into their new digs in Southern Illinois next year. Great to read about everyone else.

Hi, everyone. I was married for 20 years to my first husband, Del Schaefer. He passed away in '86. We had four sons, Del, David, Doug and Rob. (The last two came together) Was a window for 12 years. Now I am married to Rich Victoria for 7 years. Together we have 8 children, 4 each. I have 5 granddaughters and he has 2 granddaughters and one grandson. I have worked in the advertising dept. of Famous-Barr for 18 years. Of course that will change soon since all Famous-Barr Stores will soon become Macy stores and Sue will most likly retire, not by choice. Rich is retired from AB, no you can't get any free beer. Would live to come to the the party, but I am having Knee surgery and won't be attending. If any one knows how to get in touch with Barb (not sure how to spell her last name anymore) Zarndt, please e-mail me at: GrandLolly1@sbcglobal.net. Would love to hear from her or any old classmates. Thank you and have a great time.

I've been married to the same man for 31 years but am coming to the class reunion(1st time in 20 years) alone this time because it will just more fun for me (and him). Luke always used to sneak into our photos when he was there anyway. We are both retired from Springfield Public Schools and enjoying every minute; I don't know how we had time to work! Travel has become our middle name:) We have two children: Brad(he went to SIU School of Medicine with Earnshaw's daughter) is 29, married, with one daughter("Elliebug") and a second due in September, and has one more year of a medical residency in Neurology at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Kates is 23, got a degree in Hospitality Management in '04 and is currently working at a restaurant in Denver, CO to finish up an Associates degree in Culinary Arts. It is great that the kids chose to live in such fabulous places to visit! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in August and can't wait to hear about Wayne Heuring's cat.
