Hello BTHS alumni. I ran across this web page while looking for a yearbook. I was very surprised to find this information, and I believe I know some of you who left messages. Those that I think I remember are: Mike Hammel, Bonnie Mueller, Terry Schau, Sandy Perino, Roger Anna, Dale Zinc, Patti Volkman, Dennis Ellerbrock, Kathy King, and Judith Peters. If any of you check back on this site and remember me, please email me at tdandme@sbcglobal.net. I would enjoy hearing from you. My best friend was Linda Kenner who still lives in Illinois and I am in touch with. I now live in California.

Remember Mike Hammel? Bonnie Mueller? Vaguely - Vaguely and Vaguely...I remember but will have to look up the faces to go with the names. I know we are the same age but, geeez, I feel so old that I can't remember all these people. I kept in touch with Nancy Kaiser for awhile and still occassionally email her. I would love to know what happened to Vicki Cruncleton and Sue Hamilton. This site said there was no reunion planned but comments were questioning it. Is there or isn't there? I'll do a little more searching through the site. Last year would have made more sense than this year. 40 years - where does time go? I'm living in Kansas City or more specifically Shawnee, Kansas. My married name is Lietzke. I had an "illustrious" career in broadcasting as an Art Director, a Marketing Director and radio sales. I walked away from a 30 year career because the industry changed drastically and I didn't want to play anymore. I am now happily selling Fords for an honest, ethical, small dealership - am relatively stress-free (except of course I'm married) - and driving my new Mustang. I have no children just my very spoiled pekeingese, Jazzy Lietzke. Life is good. Cudos to you for doing this web site. It is comforting to know that you are out there:>)

After graduating good old BTHS I worked for a while at Nooter Boiler in St. Louis. Joined the Navy in "67" mainly to avoid being drafted into the army. Got excellent Electronics training in the navy which helped later getting a great job in communications when I finally got out in "71". I got married in 1969 had a daughter "Leslie" in 1970. Moved back to Belleville in 1979. Got divorced in 1985 (that ole mid-life crisis thing. damnit). I got remarried in 1999 to wonderful lady, the former Cathy Fellner of Belleville. That's pretty much a snapshot of my life since BHTS. Today I'm retired, in reasonably good health and trying to live the "Good Life" Finally retired after 30+ yrs with the phone company and I'm really getting into it. Right now I wonder how I ever found the time to actually go to work. There are so many more important things to do.

Hi All- Sorry I missed the reunion but would love to hear all about it. I've been married for 35 years and those years have gone by fast. Jeff and I have two children - Nicole is 30 and will be getting her Master's in psycho-therapy in Sept. and Ben is 23 and going to college to be an RN. I've moved around quite a bit since leaving Belleville after I got married. The last placed I lived was in Dove Canyon, CA. We took early retirement and moved to Bend, OR 2 1/2 yrs ago and love it. Would love to hear from any of you. jklightburn@bendcable.com

Sorry I won't be at the reunion. Sharon and I have been happily married for 34 years and counting. We have 2 children: Emelie (32, married with 2 children) and Adam (killed in an accident in 1998 at the age of 21). Because of my son's death, I became a disaster chaplain with Dept. of Homeland Security and was at 9/11 right after it happened. (things you wish you didn't remember). Did a PhD in 1989 (a mid-life crisis thing). Since 1997, we've lived in the Champaign-Urbana area where I've taught at U of I (go Illini!) and presently serve the 1st United Methodist Church of Urbana. Sharon works as director of Human Resources in the area. Plus, we're near the grandkids!

Hi everyone! I am looking forward to seeing you all again. I am an investigator with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. I have been with the Bureau for 29 years, six months and plan to retire in February 2006. I have been divorced like forever. I moved to Signal Hill two years ago. I have two sons: Chris(36)is married with three daughters (16 1/2) (12 1/2) & (6 1/2). He is a civil engineer,PE (U of I graduate), residing in Belleville. My oldest granddaughter plans to graduate next year from the new Belleville West. My younger son, Patrick is 25 and still lives at home. Parents our age fear their adult children will someday return home to live with them - I fear mine will never leave. I am hoping he will find himself soon before I retire next year.

Married twice; divorced once; that's my limit! My oldest daughter (28) just had a son, so I'm a granddad; my youngest daughter (24) is out of school and working. Both are in the Chicago area. My wife, Suzanne, has a daughter and a son, whose ages are the same as my kids. We struggle with the whole blended family thing, but, overall, life is always good and often better. Looking forward to the reunion!

My husband (Jack) and I will celebrate our 36th Wedding Anniversary July 5th. We have resided and raised our family in Southhaven, MS. We met at Panorama back in '69 while he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base. We were engaged May 1st and married July 5th. In 1973 we had our first child Jennifer. She is married to Jay Kelly and lives in Louisville, KY. She has graced us with 2 precious grandchildren. Anna will be 5 in August and Ryan 3 in November. We are their "Gammy" and "Poppy". Jenniefer has a Marketing Degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. Jennifer and Jay are celebrating 8 years of marriage May 25, 2005. Our son Brent was born in 1977. He is single, an Eagle Scout and a first-time homeowner in Memphis, TN. He lived in Paris, France attending school for a semester. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesbur, MS with an International Business Degree and minor in French. He speaks fluent French. I am working as a receptionist and office assistant for a family owned business and have been here for 8 years. Hope to retire before age 65. Wish me luck. Just a little bit of news, if anyone is interested. Hope the reunion is wonderful.

I am coming to our 40th class reunion in August. My first marriage produced two sons. I have been remarried with many blessings for 16 years.. My husband's name is Paul. He is an accountant with a local health organization. two sons, Chris and John, are both paramedic/firemen. We have three grandchildren. They are Tyler 9, Natahan 4, Ainsley 31/2 and expecting a fourth in August. I went back to school and received a degree in El. Ed. and a minor in Psychology. I was able to teach for four years and then was diagnosed with Post-Polio Sequale, which eventually forced me to retire. Even though I am retired I feel very blessed with volunteering at church and the Crisis Pregnancy Center, here in Waterloo, IL. Working at the center has shown me more than I ever expected. People who are bruised and broken from the experience of having an abortion need love and forgiveness and acceptance. As a result of the class I teach those women come to realize that yes, the made a mistake. But our Loving Father will forgive us, love us and make us whole again when we accept Him as Our Lord and Savior. I am excited about seeing all of you soon. Thank you Terry.

What a trip this is to read the life stories of my classmates. I can't complain - this life has been awesome -was married twice - got rid of the first one and my second husband Chuck died in 1999. Have worked as a creative director in ad agencies and print shops in St. Louis and Chicago for years - now I freelance, especially for Not-for-profit agencies and am a consumer representative for Illinois Department of Public Health. I have two daughters and 4 gandchildren - both the daughters are back in school (one for psychology, and the other to teach). They just did it backwards, kids first then school. I still do alot of artwork and am still working in photography. Lately writing has been my media of choice. Can't wait to see all of you.

I've been married to the same man for 31 years but am coming to the class reunion(1st time in 20 years) alone this time because it will just more fun for me (and him). Luke always used to sneak into our photos when he was there anyway. We are both retired from Springfield Public Schools and enjoying every minute; I don't know how we had time to work! Travel has become our middle name:) We have two children: Brad(he went to SIU School of Medicine with Earnshaw's daughter) is 29, married, with one daughter("Elliebug") and a second due in September, and has one more year of a medical residency in Neurology at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Kates is 23, got a degree in Hospitality Management in '04 and is currently working at a restaurant in Denver, CO to finish up an Associates degree in Culinary Arts. It is great that the kids chose to live in such fabulous places to visit! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in August and can't wait to hear about Wayne Heuring's cat.

Would live to come to the the party, but I am having Knee surgery and won't be attending. Hi, I have been married for 5 years, but co-habitated for 20 years before that. My husband Gary has one son - Gary Jr and we have two great grandkids - Joe 13 and Abby 5. They are great kids and Joe wants to be a rock star, he plays guitar and Abby just wants to have fun for now. I worked for BCBSMo for 30 years - now work for Majestic Travel in St Peters, Gary retired from Boeing after 38 years and does loads of wood-working projects for people. We hope to do a bit of traveling, as soon as our best friends get into their new digs in Southern Illinois next year. Great to read about everyone else.

After graduation from high school I went to BJC and U of I. I got caught up in all of the late 60's stuff. We will never have another era lin history like that again. I graduated with a degree in accounting. Got married to a man that was transferred every year in his job. We moved 13 times in 14 years. Had two sons then divorced. I had to get a job then and decided that accounting was boring.I went back to college at the University of Kansas and earned my Masters in geography ( I know doesn't sound much better than accounting)but for the past 20 years I have been a cartographer the government in the Kansas City area and love it. I also wanted to explore spirituality for my own personal growth and eventually became an ordained minister. I read, camp, canoe, still go to a lot of concerts, have a antique booth, collect autographs, bake gourmet cheesecakes for my friends (of which I have sampled a lot) and really enjoy my granddaughter. My oldest son is a restaurant manager and my youngest son is a painter. I'm fortunate because we all live in the K.C. area and can visit whenever we want. I am planning on coming to the reunion next year. Hope to see everyone there. Take Care

Wow - talk about a walk down memory lane. What fun to read the bios. JB, who's from Chicago, and I have lived on the East Coast for 30 yrs, 25 in CT. Still find it difficult to state I've been living in one state for 30 years -- I keep thinking that 30 is my age! JB and I have been married for 32 yrs and have two terrific kids, Erica 25 and Matthew 23. Both (finally) graduated in 2004, after being on a somewhat 'extended' program --- oh well, it took yours truly a few more than the standard 4 yrs to get through U of I, but, as I tell the kids, that was the 60s and time was a fluid through which we hippies passed. No grandkids yet - we're hoping Erica and Matthew do it the old-fashioned way and get married first, but that's not a requirement.

After leaving Illinois, my ex-husband and I owned and operated three retail shops and a Barter Exchange in NC. After Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama, all work related moves, we moved to AZ in 1986. Though divorced in 2000, we are still in tough. We have a wonderful, talented son, Ben, 24, who is pursuing a degree in International Law. I married Don Slusar, a Milwaukee native. here in Mesa, Arizona about 1.5 years ago and inherited three more children, and two grandchildren. We are both teachers in the Mesa Unified School District..74,000 students strong. It sure is fun to see what people from BTHS are doing now.

Fascinating to read these marriage histories. Mine is a little unusual, I suppose. Married twice and divorced twice before I hit 30, then spent many years thinking I was looking for No. 3 when I now realize I mostly was looking to avoid No. 3. As the poet Ovid said, "I flee those who pursue me and pursue those who flee me." It's an effective way of staying single, even when you don't realize that's what you're doing. And it's not as if San Francisco isn't a great place for meeting women, what with so many of the men only having eyes for each other. Anyway, no kids. Might have been nice, but it's too late now, and I'm at peace with that. I seem to very unusually well suited for being happy alone. And I've had a long, stable, loving relationship with my 18-year-old diabetic cat.

I sure hope I can make it to the class reunion. I have not lived in Belleville since the late 60's. I do visit occasionally. I am married to Denny Smith who is a native Atlantan (not many can claim that). We have two daughters (Correll (24) and Michelle (37)) and 4 grandchildren. Denny is self employed (Marine Specialty House - electrical fishing equipment)and I work for the Federal Government (33 years). I currently work for CDC as a Public Health Analyst.

Sandy and I have been married for almost 38 years after meeting at Illinois State University. We have lived in Elgin, IL (Chicago area) for the last 37 years. I retired last June after 35 years of teaching and administration with Elgin Public Schools. We have two sons, ages 34 and 29. Both of them enjoyed a considerable amount of success and travel with rock bands before settling down. Scott is married and is a manager of the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago. Peter is also married and is currently working as a firefighter and paramedic, along with his wife, in Antarctica. I hope to make the reunion in August...would be interested in hearing from others now in the Chicago area.

Donna Becker Zink, 1965 Notre Dame graduate, and I have been married for 39 years by June of 2005. We were so young when we got married after completing one year at Belleville Junior College. Although we have traveled to the 48 lower states, we have been locals all of our lives. We have three children who have given us six grandchildren. Debra Wolf has two daughters, 12 and 10. Dee Ann Haar has a daughter, 7, and a son, 1. Dan Zink has two sons, 9 and 4. Donna and I are happy we married so young as we now have plenty of somewhat still youthful energy to enjoy all six of them. They all live locally!

What a great life I have had. I've been married to my wonderful husband Ron for longer than either of us wants to admit. We have one adult son and an amazing 5 year old grandson. For many years I worked as a public school speech therapist, while Ron owned and managed several bowling centers in the area. Fifteen years ago we started our own home-based business and have been working together as a team since then. Our favorite leisure activities are cruising and cheering on the Rams. Hope to see you all at the reunion.

I have 2 daughters, Shelley and Kimberly. Shelley is married to her college sweetheart and has two boys, Braedan and Toby. She is a dancer/choreographer. Her husband Lee is a graphic artist. Kimberly is a hairdresser, married to Tony, mother of Ezra and Jerzie. Tony is in construction. I worked in the medical field for 25 years as a back office assistant and a transcriptionist. I started my own business 19 years ago and now custom design and manufacture costumes for competition dancers. I specialize in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Modern dance. I can't imagine doing anything else, but then I can't imagine anything more stressful. Medicine was easier than dealing with parents.

I am married to a beautiful lady. Kathy and I have been married for almost 14 years. She is originally from St. Louis. This is the second marriage for both of us. I have two wonderful sons. Chris is 32 and John is 28. They are both firefighter/paramedics in the St.Louis area. I also have a step son. Jason is 29 and work as a cumputer guru in San Fransisco. We have three happy grand children. Tyler is 6, Nathan will be 1 and Ainsley is 5 months old.I've worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 35 years and hope to retire in another 10 or 15 years. Life is good the second tiome around and I treasure each day that Kathy and I have together and also I treasure my family. We live six blocks from BTHS so I am often reminded of the great four years that I spent there. Reminising does wonders for the attitude. I hope that all of you get a chance now and then to reminise about those great years we spent there.

I moved from Belleville in 1974 to Tucson, Arizona. After two years in Tucson I returned to Springfield, Missouri where I earned my B.S. in Psychology at SMSU. From SMSU I moved to Columbia for 18 months to earn my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I have been working at Forest Counseling Center since 1992. I enjoy working with families and individuals. I married William "Jim" Lutz in 2000 and we have a ranch with cattle and six horses. (Judy Gildig)

Hi to all!!!
I was married for 14 years. Divorced in 1981 and never married again. I have two sons and one granddaughter that is ten. She is the apple of my eye. We just got back from Disney World in July. It was a blast. Grandchildren are the best-spoil them and send them home!!!!
