I rode on Wednesday evening. Conditions were good. I didn't find the leaves to be a problem.
Deer season is over.

What's the best way to ride these trails, taking in as much singletrack as possible? I've ridden Supertree and Kewauyee a couple times in the past, which were great, but haven't done any others. Thanks,

Was thinking of riding there SAT.
Best direction is counterclockwise, Wood Run Camp to Supertree to Keyauwee return to Wood Run Camp. No other LEGAL SINGLETRACK exists. I have poached the Uwharrie Trail to Keyauwee a few times but like I said it is not legal. How wet was the trail?? I am glad deer season is over... Later guys

Ride the road to the top of Supertree and back down to Woodrun Camp. Ride Keyauwee the same way; up the main road and back to the camp. These directions give you the most singletrack downhill.

Lynda and I went out and worked on Keyauwee today. Trail is dry. We worked opening up some of the existing drains and cut in one new waterbar. Brian Bristol and myself will be leading two trail workdays on Feb 10th and March 9th (both Sundays). If you are interested you can respond to me at this e-mail. If Saturdays are better, please respond with that also. Maybe I can lead a group on a Saturday. Informationon the trail workdays should be posted on the kiosk at the trail and on Middleringcycles.com Tommy, would you send me your e-mail?? I haven't talked to you alot since the last time Don was around, but would like your help in some of these projects. One final note, Brian is going to be trying to re-start UMBA soon, details to come....

Chris,

Everything sounds good! I saw your trail work! Very nice! I think that Mark has also been working on the trail.
I plan to attend Feb 9 and March 10 if possible. Let's stay in touch. taylor1529@carolina.rr.com

HUNTING in Uhwarrie?
When does hunting season end so riders can ride without worrying about it? Does anyone know the official date?

That's correct, deer season is over until November.

Here's some more information...

The Woodrun trails are in Montgomery County which is in the Central Deer Season.

Here are the Hunting Season Dates from the NC Wildlife Commission:

No hunting on Sundays.

My link didn't work as expected. When the link opens, select 2007-08 Season Dates.
