So... what are you saying Larry? That if I want to be a delegate to the convention, a good way would be to shack up with someone who already is one? ;)
Actually, to be honest, I am very unfamiliar with the process of being named a delegate. I guess I always assumed that the party used such things as rewards for all those hard-working campaign volunteers you aways see at election time. I guess I also always assumed that one of the main requirements for being selected as a delegate was knowing the right people. Wouldnt it make sense that family members would know the same right people?
I also wonder if this might be a trend based on changing gender roles. In the past wives were probably content to go to the convention just as the tag-a-long spouse and not actually participate. But these days it seems like more women would rather go to a convention as a delegate so they can join in on the fun too.
