How are you feeling now?

It's rather chilly in the UK at the moment (by our usual winter standards). Our snow actually stayed for 3 days! That hasn't happened for years lol. Kind of nice to have a proper cold snap. The last couple of years I've only needed a light jacket and jumper mid-winter but the last few days it's been real gloves and woolly coat weather. There was a heavy frost last night and it stayed all day instead of vanishing by 10am. Very pretty on the trees.

Snow here is forever. I can still see the tops of large vehicles over the snowbank between me and the street. There is a small access hole in the bank with a couple of hard-packed steps on each side. I call that my "eskimo steps". Snow and ice really are good building materials. I can climb over pretty well with bags of groceries when I get a ride to the store, and the mailman doesn't seem to mind.

It was below zero (F) for a lot of last week. Schools closed because of the cold.

I'm managing to shovel what I have to, but I wish the snow would take a few more days off. It's been burying us every week.

My nice computer adventure is over at least. I have most of the good tools installed again, just in time to catch a newsletter deadline and make posters for a fundraiser concert. Also got a new video card very cheap from a starving vagrant (guy I've known quite some time, prob needed the $ for cigs lol). Had to wait until the weather warmed up 20-30 degrees so the static electricity would not be so dangerous (to the computer) before installing it! Now I have to dig up that cool fireworks screensaver ;-)

My sinuses are not happy...not much pain otherwise. Just tired. Furnace functions *grin*

Brr chilly. I just showed my daughter your pic to show her 'real' snow lol. The kids have never seen more than a few inches on the ground.

I haven't got long left at work before I get a year off :D. I finish mid April (easter week)and I'm looking forward to getting time to write again. Things are pretty hectic trying to work, home teach and do all the housey chores.

*Snerkle* There hasn't been any fresh snow for a while (Doni be thanked) but it's still cold enough.

There wasn't any ice on the insides of the kitchen windows this morning, though :D

It's chilly here still (for our standards) probably the coldest winter we've had for a few years - which isn't a bad thing, perhaps we'll have less pests in the garden later in the year (ie things that eat our veggies!).

Wrap them woollies :)

We're having a little teeny break, just cold enough to keep the snow healthy.

I need to get a good winter gallery up, I have some pretties accumulating. Too many other things to do. Big event coming in Feb. and a couple more websites.

Where do CDs go when you need them? Do they get eaten by the Lost Socks?

We've got lots of snow today.. about 10cm.

Enough to shut Heathrow airport and half the schools and transport services...lol. We Brits can't handle snow hehe.

Yeah, you-alls prob don't even bother to spell the word "snowplow" as "snowplough"

LOL

It snew a little piddly bit here, but the wind made up for the piddliness by making drifts. Still piddly. It's doing Cold tonight though. Real cold, Ice Age style. Brass monkeys do not reproduce well here.

(if you didn't get that...)

I'm thingy-deep in projects and not writing anything that's not work-related :-(

Hokay, I could go outside with my camera tonight, but you would wonder why I took a picture of a blank sheet of white paper.

Just wondering if I'll be able to open my front door tomorrow.

And then 3/4 of it melted. And then it snew like hell again. Then it rained.

Something tells me it's march. Something besides the bronchitis.

After the rain, howling wind and hard freezing. Ah, Wisconsin.

On the good side, the bronchitis is over.

On the bad side...the store ran out of cabbage before I got there. Kistovenu!
