IT IS A LOCAL ISSUE THAT IS WHY I AM SENDING THIS LETTER TO MY LOCAL PAPER TODAY

On July 9, 2005 Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s first advisor and personal physician wrote a letter to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, leader of the insurrection in Irag. The letter contained a comprehensive view of al Qa'ida's strategy in Iraq and in the world.

Zawahiri writes that the first stage of their global effort is to, “Expel the Americans from Iraq”. After that is accomplished he promises to “extend the jihad wave to the secular countries . . .”

The leaders of militant Islam have always been clear as to their goals. It is the elimination, by any means, of heathens and heresy until the world becomes a fundamental Islamic state. We cannot pacify these lunatics by sacrificing Israel or overcoming our oil dependency. However, we can teach them that when they attack and murder our innocent civilians on our soil, then the battle will come to their neighborhood also.

Right now, radical Muslims are focused on stopping democracy in Iraq. We have moved the battlefield from the Big Apple to Baghdad. Right now, radical Muslim must concentrate on Iraq before their global designs. Thank you Mr. President.
