Hello There.
I was also at this event and to be fair Microsoft did have a number of very well attended sessions on writing code for the Windows Smartphone platform and how to get apps "logo'd". The speakers were highly competant technically and fielded all kinds of tricky questions.

The real question was why were'nt AppForge there? We use their Crossfire tool to write enterprise apps in VB for Palm, Windows, PocketPC, Smartphone and Symbian from a single code base - That's the sort of thing that mobile developers want....
