I'm the Editor of this site. I'm not the Editor of the other one. They'll make whatever change seems appropriate to them.

It's a cockup. It's not my first cockup, nor my worst! but it's nonetheless embarrassing, and I'm not going to spend my life apologising for it - I've tried to make sure the record is set straight, and that's really all I can do.

Thanks for the link, anyway!

Guy,
Even after your retraction on your site i find it very odd to read your article on eweek.com! http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1648279,00.asp

You talk of a single session by Microsoft again etc!?

I'm not sure that there is any evidence to suggest this, let alone "some". Very strange. I can't see any dip in MS's support.

Hello,

<2centsworth>

Not sure that Microsoft only being a silver sponsor is... "evidence that the love affair no longer goes to the top"

</2centsworth>

Will your article be changed with the new evidence?

I'm shocked to read your article! Having attended the Orange Code Camp as press and being asked to cover the 'Operating Systems and Execution Environments' sessions I cannot understand where your article has come from!? Read here: http://www.msmobilenews.com/?cid=646

No offence meant but you seem to be way off!

Hello There.
I was also at this event and to be fair Microsoft did have a number of very well attended sessions on writing code for the Windows Smartphone platform and how to get apps "logo'd". The speakers were highly competant technically and fielded all kinds of tricky questions.

The real question was why were'nt AppForge there? We use their Crossfire tool to write enterprise apps in VB for Palm, Windows, PocketPC, Smartphone and Symbian from a single code base - That's the sort of thing that mobile developers want....

Personally, I don't expect Microsoft to give up on Windows Mobile, either on the Pocket PC nor on the Smartphone.

But there is some evidence that the love affair no longer goes to the top.

It will try again, it will find someone to replace Yuha, and then, we'll see... or is it really pulling out?
