Just wanted to say hello to all the wonderful mommies here. I am a mother to 5. My sweet dh still is happy to co sleep with our 2yo, even when I am not home (I work 3rd shift 4 nights a week). We are expecting #6 and he is comfortable with both still being in the bed. I still nurse the 2yo as it is much a comfort to her. I make sure though if I notice she is really hunger I get solid food in her. We are constantly learning and evolving our eating habits. For now we are up to home made, no sugar, no processed, no additives. We do very little meat. I hs my kiddos as well. I feel so blessed to be in your presence.

Tina,
I would be more than happy to talk to you about homeschooling. We could do it onboard at the education board or through emails. What would you prefer?

Hi Amanda~
Thanks so much for the advice. We have opted to forego the end of the cosleeping w. our son for now, but that will be a good bit of info for the future ;D
We are getting ready to hs our 4.5 yo in the fall. I'd be interested to talk to you about any advice you might have, what curriculum you use, etc.
Thanks, Tina

Hi Kilinda and Tina,
kilinda,I don't think it's strange at all. While I'm not Vegan or Vegetarian we do strive to give our children the healthiest of upbringing. We also co-sleep and extended nurse(well I do that part,LOL)our two year old daughter. We did the same with our sons.We are also homeschooling our two oldest(boys ages 10 in the 6th grade and 8 in the 4th grade)and have done so from the beginning.
Tina,As for getting you 4yr old to sleep on his own. What worked for our boys was to place a toddler bed next to ours then slowly(days, weeks, whatever works)move it away from our bed .They got the security of being with Mommy and Daddy and also the independence of being in their own bed.We made a big deal out of it by letting them pick out their own special beddind and nightlights.
I say to each family its own, with love.
Amanda-Wife of 16 years to my bestfriend and Mommy of 3 wonderfully gifted kids

Hi Niambi,
We are trying to get our almost 4 yo used to sleeping on his own, too. If you get a chance could you share some of the ways you helped him sleep on his own? Thanks.

Hi Ladies--
I cosleep with our 3 month old...much to my husband's chagrin. We have another son who is 4...it took him a while to get used to sleeping on his own. I loved it because it gives me an opportunity to bond with my children after being on the go all day.

Hello Kilinda. We live in Virginia. I had a C section after twenty wonderful easy hours of labor, we co-sleep and I am still nursing my health VERY INDEPENDENT daughter (usually at night). My husband is a vegan, and a wonderful cook so we have choosen to start our child on this path, she likes fries but will also ASK for fruits/veggies and water - I too strive for 80-90% healthy food. I certainly do not think you are strange.
