The only way that something will happen is if the
conditions or "environment" is created for something
to happen.(at least that is what I think and i hope it
is not 100% confusing hehe)

Everybody can talk about things that will happen with
no reason and blablabla. But..WHAT IF someone is
waiting for something to happen and that is NOT going
to happen?

Nothing is impossible. For me, the "networking
technique", is a good solution :-)

"But all I could think was, 'you
wouldn't be saying that if you were sitting at home on a Sunday
night by yourself playing vids and eating TV dinners (when
you're 30) in the house you never clean anymore because no one
sees it but yourself.'"

hahahahah
let's see what's in my fridge right now....
Atkins frozen dinners, yogurt, turkey pepperoni and about 13 dozen different beverages.

And what's wrong with playing nonstop Halo in the dark listening to The Fragile at full blast? Wow... i'm so predictable.

heh.

I remember being single and people giving me the whole "don't force it, it'll happen when it happens, blah blah blah" and I know they have good intentions. But all I could think was, "you wouldn't be saying that if you were sitting at home on a Sunday night by yourself playing vids and eating TV dinners (when you're 30) in the house you never clean anymore because no one sees it but yourself."

So I said, f*ck them and their "wait until you're ready" and their "it'll happen some day, just look how happy me and shmoopy are" and decided I was going to go and find me a new girl!

So I set my plan in action. I thought about the things that I wanted in a girl and hashed out what where the real deal-breakers. The must have traits in a woman and chucked the rest of my mental list out the figurative window. (Really I just wanted a Bonnie Burton of my own, but she was 'taken' and I was heart broken...)

I started going out to some new places, and meeting up with some old friends and coworkers. It was nice to catch up with everyone and an excellent way to do some 'networking' and build myself a short list of possible single women in my social arena. I spent some time with some of them in groups and asked around a little and then went out a few times with a couple of them and in the end, I found a great girl.

I didn't have to "wait for the time to be right" or "not force it" or "when you least expect it, it will happen", I think that stuff is all crap! If you want someone, they're out there! You just have to go find them!

(Can you feel the inspirational music playing and the american flags blowing the background?)

Master Replica FX sabers are so much fun. I found an unboxed Anakin one at a flea market for 50 bucks. I really want that Darth Vader one though.

Hey Bonnie are you going to be at this year's Comic Con? If so, hope to see you there!

:D

nah, I get to keep the toys but I leave them at the office for all my coworkers to play with. No one ever visits my apartment, so leaving them there wouldn't impress anyone.

Email me your mailing address and I'll send you some cool Star Wars postcards from last year's Comic-Con if you'd like... ;-)

1. Do you give your lightsabers and other work-derived toys to your friends?

2. Can you point me to the forms one fills out to be your friend?

my co-workers got tired of me being depressed, retrospective, whiney and such and made a yahoo singles profile for me. Despite my best efforts to undermine their scheme, It seems to have worked and I'm dating for the first time in over a year. I guess, my pointless point is that you'll be fine, and when you know you are ready (i mean really KNOW) It'll happen whether you expect it or not. If you try to force it, it'll only make things worse.
