Now you new PTF’s Under Step 4 M-1444 it states: “…there is no set pace at which a carrier must walk and no street standard for walking.” This is also referenced in Step 4’s M-00360, and M-00304. what is your darn hurry? do not skip your lunch and breaks. You are setting a precedent and a performance standard that manglement will now hold you to. If you do a route in 6 hours, by skipping lunch, where the regular is doing it in 6 ½ hrs, You get another relief to carry Flash! And once you establish that type of performance, then you do take a lunch, then they get you for expanded street time. Gee, mgmt. is not the “compassionate friend” you thought they were.

Everyone has heard of the 5 o’clock goal. What’s that? You say management says it is a mandatory 5 o’clock window? Hogwash! This is an arbitrary goal set by management. There is no mention of any windows of operation in the National contract or any other handbook!

i was doing research on the web and read an article in the capital research center that is anti-worker extolling that your union sued into overturn the lose your rights at work law! kudos to Branch 1358! We appreicate the effort dispite the article claiming "out-of-state strangers with deep pockets attack the actions o f the legislature..." i guess you folks must have interstate routes and get a lot of v-time to fillthose "deep pockets"

Good luck and solidarity,

Keep fightig hte good fight

DOIS had been around awhile and we all know that any program is only as accurate as the data that is put into it. Now look at your floor supervisor. Does he/she look like they know the exact piece count you have? That they accurately input the data each day? Do they go and put in the exact amount of flats that were misdirected to your route and you had to give a tub to another carrier, or that carrier gives you a tub of flats? Do you think they really put in accurate figures? Because if they don’t, then that data is flawed and I wouldn’t want that to help determine my route. DOIS is only a tool for mgmt. It sets no standards for you or me! Remember that! The only call that is accurate is your call on your 3996. They can holler DOIS says this or that, but, don’t let them intimidate you; DOIS means nothing in you giving your call! Give an accurate call on your 3996 and that is what they must deal with. YOU do not have to deal with DOIS. Tell them if DOIS says that, have the computer carry the route and you’ll go home.

Please visit www.bundlbustr.com - to see a new mail carrier accessory made by and for letter carriers. Helps a lot with one-bundle delivery, especially as the weather heats up.
Thanks

Early reports into NALC headquarters indicate another resounding success in this year's "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive, with several branches reporting record collections. Results are being tabulated as fast as they come in. The final total will be announced June 7 in conjunction with National Hunger Awareness Day.

I have just found this discussion page. It needs to be mentioned at the Union meetings and in the newsletter. I had seen where someone was asking about Gaspar. I have found out that Gaspar and Lopez have been forced to retired due to them covering up illegal and unethical things that were done in Tulsa by the postmaster, Kathy Johnson. Does anyone know anything about what they are covering up or what kind of corrupt things are being done in Tulsa. Obviously alot. Maybe the postmaster is next. Any information would be appreciated.
