Hi Jill - I was just trying to find hay locally and couldn't - I ended up taking the float over the Wairarapa to grab some. Only needed 10 bales to tie us over and then a couple for competitions!

does anyone have or know of a pony just sitting around that needs a new home as im looking for a friend who's daughter is wanting a pony for her birthday and we are hoping to fill this dream for her. The pony would need to be around 14.- 14.3 hh and under 14yr (or maybe for the right pony alittle higher), doesnt need to be an oil painting just something sweet and quite, good to worm, catch float etc. if you know of anything please email me at spadeshaven@xtra.co.nz, or ring me on 06 308 9838, cheers

Hi everyone - I hope you have all recovered from all that dressaging and are now ready for the soon to start new season! My Finn is already starting to shed, he's veeery woolly since he went uncovered all winter - was I glad I didn't ride in the series. Let the committee know what you think was great/not so good/ could be improved (the weather not included!) or any other suggestions you might have - like you would like to help run it! I thought that the shed was the best thing that could have happened - thank you Rachel! And we will most definitely not accept that many resistrations next time!!! We are also grateful for the judges who came and gave encouraging comments to most, sitting in a coldish car for hours - and their writers. And the yummy baking provided, much better than the polystyrene stuff from the supermarket! Write in with your dressage (dis)adventures, we all love to hear about them! The days in our lives...Also want from the club training/event wise, after all this is your club!

I'd like to say thanks to Karina for being there every day (that's all 6 of them). Think ahead to next year - who wants to do it then? You did a great job Karina. We are all looking forward to seeing Finn at Horse Club soon. I've just been looking at the Blog on our links - it's really funny - have a look. There's this very funny video on youtube with a stallion doing really weird stuff with a big round bale of hay. Take a look.

Hi my name is Tracey Blair I have just enrolled as a new member - I live on Haywoods Hill and have a couple of horse's up here and a few grazers as well. I am intersted in getting out and about with my ponies a bit this year - if the wind ever stops. I enjoy dressage mainly but also hack out as we back on to St Pat's Forest and have access to that - great riding. I see that you are planing on a dressage/jumpiing day soon and wondered when details might be available, - I am more than happy to help out by the way. I understand how these days can be made easier by many hands. I am looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully starting some fun outings.

Those of you who have been to the Maymorn competitive trail ride recently - have a look at the WTRC website (it's on our calender) - their photographer took some great shots of just about everyone, including the one's who had to walk a bit...Yu can download or copy what you want! Karina
