I confess to being a little perplexed as to just what the purpose of this exercise is. I might be persuaded to make a contribution if I knew *exactly* how the money would be spent. Frankly, I don't feel the need for any special recognition as a result of my having attended HBS or having spent a year in Viet Nam. Is my military service underappreciated? Perhaps, but no more so than that of anyone who has served in a war zone since World war II, including the poor servicepeople now in Iraq.
