Good news for those struggling with the mail box situation. This afternoon, Sonja from the Post Office and I traveled around Liverpool and found locations for mailboxes for everyone that wishes to have one. You should have, or will shortly receive, in your mailbox, a notice indicating your ability to request a location. If you wish to have a rural style box, please see the Post Office with your request. Please remember that anyone having a rural style box is required to purchase the box and mounting, maintain the box, and continue keeping access to the box. If you are an apartment tenant, your landlord will have the option to mount the box the tenant purchases, or modify their lease renewals to reflect a requirement for the tenant to acquire a box at the Post Office. Some locations may require mounting to the concrete sidewalk. In these cases, the Borough personnel will install the mounting hardware, but the customer will be required to pay their share of the installation costs for labor and materials.
