Re: The farm house at the junk yard- The house was built in the 1800's by a member of the wealthy McCormick family ( a bachelor) of Harrisburg. It was occupied by the Shuler Williamson family for many years and was occupied by the Klinepeters who purchased it from the Williamsons'; from 1964-1995. In the early 1900's many social events were held on the third floor which was destroyed in a hurricane in the 1950's. I new a woman who went to the parties as a young woman.

The Topic Administrator needs to get a life!! There was not one single thing wrong with any of these posts but in here of late. It this site just for yard sales? it seems that way. I know he oversees the comments but really, i assume if they are not in line with his thinking they get deleted, now that sounds fair to me, NOT!!!!!!

A Klinepeter lived in the brickhouse next to the junkyard, don't know if he built it or not, that is what one of my relatives who grew up here in town said, but he does not no anything more.
