a big THANK YOU for all of you who are dedicated to getting the community pool up and running! i see you down there almost nightly! i believe it is a wonderful community service to have this pool still going after ALL these years! i am so thankful my daughter can swim there; as i vividly remember my childhood memories there! NOTE: the pool is selling raffle tickets at $5.00 apiece (i think thats the price). please seek out a board member to support your community pool!

If you are looking for something here in town, there is Lowe's restuarant at the lower end of town, good food, but not if you're in a hurry, lol. We also have Chris's pizza. The New Buffalo Restaurant is 10 minutes below town, and has good food in my opinion. Hope this helps.

The Liverpool Swimming Pool WILL open!!!!!!!!!!
A little later than usual, however. The PPL issue has been resolved and will cause only a moderate annual increase this year in our overall operating expense. The drain covers were received this morning, installed after noon and the pool is currently being filled. Circulating pumps should start Thursday after the anti-suction valves are installed, and pool sweeping on Friday. Chlorination begins with the water circulation and should be fully conditioned by late next week. Our expectation is to be open by next Saturday. I'll post early next week, once we have a better idea of our official opening day. Annual pool passes will be available for sale, to everyone at the pool office.
Family rate $175.00/non-shareholder, $150.00/shareholder, $75.00 individual rates. Day rates will be posted at the office next week. Donations of time and or funds are always welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you for your continued support, walt teats/LARA treasurer

The Liverpool Swimming Pool is experiencing some unique hurdles in response to opening this season. First a new Federal law requires Engineered drain grates and anti-suction valves to be installed on each pump system. Our pool has three pumps. Second PPL placed the facility on a new rate schedule, which if not reversed, could prove very costly, and possibly unsurmountable with our current budget. At this time the drain covers and valves have been ordered and are expected this week. The decision from PPL is also expected early this week. Hopefully, with favorable conditions, we will be able to fill the pool by the end of this week, and expect to open around the last day of school, late next week. I will post later this week to advise our progress. As always, your support is welcomed and requested. Please send your donations, large or small, to:
LARA, 808 N. Front St., Liverpool, Pa 17045.
Thank you, Walt Teats, LARA Treasurer.

What a meal at the fire station today. Thaks to them for making sure I was full. While I was there I thought I would look at the new ambulance everyone has ben talkig about. One of the ambulance people showed it to me and explained somethigs to me. I also asked questions as I have ben following the postings on here and heard some comments too. I am glad I did. I learned somethings. I know I am grateful for them helping me when I needed it not to long ago but I am more thankful now that I spoke to them. I asked why they didnot ask for help for a paid staff during the day and was told that there officers went over different options with the borough but the borough didnot seem to want to help them. This person said that I should speak to their officers about the meeting with the borough and I will.

Well then if it's still around town, then deal w/ it in town, not on here. Also, be glad that Jim Lilley is mowing the grass, he's a good man and you made it sound as though he purposely directed the mower to your car when he mowed. Instead of complaining about it on here, why not bring it to his attention next time you see him, he may not have even realized your vehicle was damaged.
