Question for anyone...are there any restrictions as far as an inflatable pool. We are considering buying one of those blue collapsable pools for our children.

new in town Welcome! No there are no restrictions in the zoning rules as long as the pool is not capable of holding more than one and one half feet (1.5) of water. However, you might want to check with your insurance company before buying one because I know they are raising rates for people who have trampolines in their yards.

Thank you for the information. I do think it does hold more than a foot and 1/2 of water though.

The pool we have put up in past years was about 3 1/2 feet deep and we have a fenced in yard. No one has ever said anything to us about being against any ordinance. Is this a potential problem?

I still don't understand why everyone is so worked about a new ambulance or how they got the money for it or what they do w/ what money they have...be glad there are volunteers in the 1st place that are willing to give their time...be glad there are people in town that know how to "fix" you. I guess I'm just ignorant to the reasons behind all these complaints about our fire company and our EMS. Some folks can be so ungrateful for what they have until it's gone.

The fenced in yard is why you have not been warned about your pool. You are OKAY.

That's good to know! It may have to be an option again this year with the current economy. Thanks Mr. Naylor for your quick response.

Speaking of town ordinances, Ed, are there any ordinances against having a chicken coop in my backyard if I live in the borough? Not that I'm going to run out and get a bunch of chickens....I'm just curious! (It's kind of an ongoing friendly argument between my husband and me.)

My question is why are people STILL complaining about this whole ambulance thing? Seriously.... do you really have nothing better to do? I volunteer with both. I gladly give my time and whatever else to do, because I like to and I like to help people. You ask why they dont get volunteers or miss calls? I can tell you my opinion between work and a family it does make it hard. And when I log onto here or listen to ignorant people around town completely trashing volunteers for what they do or how its done, its disgusting and makes people not want to volunteer and help. If we want to complain about something how about we talk about the borough employee(not Mr Lilley) I forget his name though. Mowed the grass on front street and aimed the mower discharge at the vehicles. I dont know about the other cars parked on front street that day but I know mine was scratched from the stuff the mower threw up at it and it was also covered completly in grass. Mr Lilley mowed it the week before and did a fine job and not a thing happened to my car. Anyways lol why dont you all just move on from the ambulance thing, find yourselves a hobby or a life. Either volunteer or just be quiet and thank a volunteer when you see one and just stop being ignorant. I along with a lot of others around here are just plain tired of hearing people complain about the fire and ems companies already.

If you really are "Tired of Hearing It!!" than why bring it up two weeks after the last comment? Let it go, I believe that ship has sailed bro.
