Thank you Mary Teats and Brit. I am the widow of Lee Beaver from Millerstown. You may remember him. He was the fire chief and town council member and many things to many people.I just wanted to take positive stand and thank your husband and father for all you do and all the other dedicated members of the fire ambulance and town council.

I read some of the nasty incinuations on here and it breaks my heart. I understand it is only a few people who are doing but it still has to hurt.

Keep up the good work. May God bless and protect.

I Love Boro Council- you tell it like it is. Thank you for that. I think some people are missing the whole point of this board. It is not for name calling, correcting people because they are under-educated or for misspelling words. Grow up!! Is this how you would want your kids to act? We live in a community that unlike most around us, we have a lot of freedom to do things as we please without having to get ridiculous permits or approval from anyone. I happen to enjoy living here and raising my family in our town. I think it is absurd that a young girl and a wife have to post to a message board to defend someone they care deeply about. Walt has never done a bad thing for our community. If you want things done better or different, join the boro council. So what.. we are having a mail situation, everyone in town is, not just a few people. I asked Walt about it after getting an attitude from the man at the post office and he was very prompt at responding. How many people do you know would go out of their way to take a day and drive around town with Sonya from the post office to inspect properties and let everyone know where the best place for their mailboxes would be, and what their options are. Yes, it may take some leg work of your own to figure out what your options are, but just like I have had to, you find out and you do it. Sitting behind your computer and complaining on a web page for the world to read will get you nowhere. You will only manage to make enemies and then who is going to want to help you. Give up your time complaining on here, go to the post office, talk to Sonya and she will tell you what you need to know. GREAT JOB Walt and the rest of the boro council. Keep up the dedicated and good work!!!

I live in the borough and I agree with frozen run you are all nuts. I always thought everyone was entitled to thier own opinions??? Which according to this site I see I am wrong. I have talked to newlife and know what they have done and gone through dealing with the whole PO Box issue. Its not a person like newlife giving this town a bad look on here it is all of the "nuts" flipping out about grammar and spelling and what not. Guess what people WE LIVE IN PERRY COUNTY!!! Where staying in school to graduate most times was not an option due to the fact people had to work and such. So before we all start throwing stones take a long look in the mirror at our own faults before we start tearing apart others. And yes I know my usage of some of my words is incorrect but I dont care and Im ok with that. Have a good Thanksgiving Everyone!

What does living in Perry County have to do with anything? It doesn't matter if you graduated or not, you should have at least learned how to spell. The issues with the PO Boxes have been solved so let it go. Why can't everyone just get along??

Hi everyone. This Saturday, November 21st, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. there will be free clothing in the social hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Liverpool (next to Miller's Market). We have lots of really good clothing, shoes, some coats, and some miscellaneous items available in all sizes. Everyone is welcome, so please pass the word along if you know of anyone needing good clothing!

Hi--I can help you with the second part of your post: as far as donating clothing - all we desperately need right now is infants and childrens clothing. We have TONS of womens clothes and are overloaded with those. If you have kids clothes, though, we'd love to have them and you can bring those up to the church on Saturday morning anytime after 8:30 a.m. We're there until about 11:30 a.m. Thank you.

OK .first let me start by saying if i miss spell any words iam sorry iam not perfect! Now this po box issue, its not over yet they are still telling us that if our mail boxes are not up by the end of this month that they WILL close our poboxes and keep our mail.I think its funny for those who judge Newlife she isnt someone who sits in front of her computer all day.She does work two jobs and is raising children and by the way she is A EDUCATED PERSON.I know we all make mistakes .Now this po box promblem started before newlife moved here but no one did anything about it . Mr Teats did say no one came to the meetings about this issue. So Newlife did do something she talked to the postoffice and they told her go to the MR Naylor so she did then she was told to go to the Borough Council and thats what she did along with two other people .Then after the meeting it became a blameing issue between the Post office and the Borough Council .No one wanted to give a correct answer of what was needed to slove this promblem . The Post Office workers were starting to give people a attuided .Ideals were thrown around but no finnal answer was given so the fight began.Newlife walked around town and talked to people, a lot of people agreed about this but no one showed up at the meetings but Newlife and 3 other people .She did call Mr Teats twice but he only returned one call and Mr Teats spoke at all the meetings on this issue but he still kept saying the Council should not be in the middle he did help a little but we werent getting any futher on this promblem .She doesnt know Mr Teats personally but she spoke to the man who is on the board ,so i really dont think she said anthing bad about Mr Teats .She did not have to do this but Newlife didnt agree with it, people want to juge but this fight was for anyone who didnt agree on paying for their po boxes. .If you didnt care then you should have just stepped back and left it alone. And anyone out there who agreed should have gone to the meetings, she can only do so much and i think she did a pretty dam good job.She didnt do this to cause a promblem on this site. But she did start something she needed to finish and she promised to get some answers to this promblem and she did the best she could.
