When was in France I found the portion sizes very small. I think they're on to something.

When I'm actively observing my "workout" routine, I try to eat 6 small meals a day. What a difference. You're never hungry, but your metabolism kicks into high gear. Also drink lots of water. I found I was far less sluggish the more water I drank.

The downside is having to piss every hour or so.
