God Is Amazing
New Products Available
Now that I've got some extra time, I'm creating some products that a few visitors to this board might find of interest. It take me awhile, but I've got a few products already posted at
http://www.CafePress.com/GodIsAmazing that include actual mazes that include the message "God Is Amazing". I also plan to create similar groups of products for "Jesus is Amazing", "Allah Is Amazing", "Buddha Is Amazing" and other names that I believe that God has used over the years. So far, I've created two bags, a set of postcards, buttons and magnets, and a small hanging calendar. You can find them all
here.
If anyone has some ideas for other phrases that I should create similar collections for, drop me a note and I'll add it to my list of projects for future consideration.
Principles of Jewish Buddhism
(Humor Alert)
- Let your mind be as a floating cloud. Let your stillness be as the wooded glen. And sit up straight. You'll never meet the Buddha with such round shoulders.
- Be aware of your body. Be aware of your perceptions. Keep in mind that not every physical sensation is a symptom of a terminal illness.
- Wherever you go, there you are. Your luggage is another story.
- To practice Zen and the art of Jewish motorcycle maintenance, do the following: get rid of the motorcycle. What were you thinking?
- There is no escaping karma. In a previous life, you never called, you never wrote, you never visited. And whose fault was that?
- If there is no Self, whose arthritis is this?
- Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Forget this, and attaining Enlightenment will be the least of your problems.
- The Tao has no expectations. The Tao demands nothing of others. The Tao does not speak. The Tao does not blame. The Tao does not take sides. The Tao is not Jewish.
- Drink tea and nourish life. With the first sip, joy. With the second, satisfaction. With the third sip, Danish.
- Be patient and achieve all things. Haggle and get them cheaper.
- To Find the Buddha, look within. Deep inside you are 10,000 flowers. Each flower blossoms 10,000 times. Each blossom has 10,000 petals. You might want to see a specialist.
- Be here now. Be someplace else later. Is that so complicated?
- Zen is not easy. It takes effort to attain nothingness. And then what do you have? Bupkes!
Apologies
We apologize for taking this drastic action, but this board has been attacked for flame wars and for conservative proselytizing, even though the rules have been clearly stated for all members to read. For example, people (perhaps the same person using several different screen names) have been repeatedly posting the same message, and/or posting messages that are clearly more appropriate for a different message board.
I created this board over a year ago as a place for ALL religions to discuss themselves openly, not as a site for ultra-conservative people of any religion to blast others for being wrong, in their opinion. I have shut this board down, for the time being because it is obvious that a few of you want this board to be a place to attack people who you think are wrong.
I'm sorry, but this is a board for people who agree that other people might ALSO have part of the same truth that they do.
Personal to all of you
I believe that each of you have part of God's truth. But I also believe that members of every other point of view on this Earth also have part of God's truth.
Since it is obvious that this board has turned into a place for a few people to attack other people they do not understand, I will limit it's use for the time being. At a later date, I might open it up again for discussion, but by then, I hope that the flame wars will have stopped.

Definition of Spam
A message that is repeatedly posted is one definition of spam. Another definition of spam is a message that is pasted identically to several different forums, or simply a copy of something that is sent by e-mail.
The first time that one member posted a particular message, I deliberately left it posted for a few days, and even visited the page myself. I don't agree with everything they say, but I did visit it. (I disagree with the premise that one organization can tell another what they can and cannot do with their donations.)
The second time that identical message was posted, I deleted the message without comment.
The third time (less than an hour later), I deleted it and decided to posted a short definition of spam.
SPAM is not appropriate for this discussion list, and in honor of one spammer's multi-posting, I will be adding a section to the rules about spamming.
This is intended to be a place for discussion. It is my opinion that the postings I ultimately deleted were not meant to inspire discussion, but just to advertise the spammer's website.
