It's an intriguing question of biological redefinition that is raised here, one of a sort increasingly likely to rear its head.

Just one quick observation...from the posting: "put a bovine gene into a dill pickle, and you're still not eating pork". I think you mean a *porcine* gene. Bovine genes might vex the Hindu community, however. Perhaps they too have an official doctrinal position on that?
