I'm still not quite sure what differentiates a "photograph" from an "art wrok" [sic]. Photos are art works. But not all artworks are photos. And not even all photos are art. They are artificial (ie, do not grow on trees). But, consider the snapshot....
Now, what I throw into snapshots is photo-based, and continues to lie primarily in the photo-image field. An artwork can be photo-based, but will (probably) veer off in other directions, where the original image alone is not the most important element.
Still, can't say that the concepts have gelled for me, can I?

My differentiation between "artworks" and "snapshots" still hasn't gelled.
But photos are, for me, not only primarily photo-based but single-photo based. Artworks that come from photos are mostly collages.
Although that isn't strictly, true, either.
It's all arbitrary, I guess. Or nearly so.
