MONKEY CACA!!!! That's BRILLIANT!!
(I'm talking about the latest Y: the Last Man finely tying up a rather long winded story arc of course.)

Just read the latest Ultimates, and the final two pages several times.
So who is the mystery member of the team drinking coffee with Pym?
Tony? Don't buy it - he turned on Thor...and he really LIKED Thor.
Hawkeye? Don't think so. His character doesn't seem shaped to where he'd be friendly with Pym, let alone familiar.
Pietro? If Hawkeye would be distant, Quicksilver would be on another continent.
Jarvis? I know he isn't an "official" member, but he seems in on everything, and the way the dialogue comes out you could almost see it, except Jarvis likes to push the hyperbole and innuendo especially.
So what does that leave us?
I think it is a woman.
I think Wanda is out. Hank was pretty much gone by the time she was officially on board.
Black Widow? Same deal, and she doesn't seem nay more inclined to be friendly as Hawkeye - and the reasoning offered doesn't mesh with her origins (same with Wanda.)
Process of elimination:
Dammit!
It's Janet!
Think about it.

One other culprit comes to mind re last two pages.
Betty Ross.

Of course, there is one other possibility.
Cap.
Like Janet, sounds weird, but it would fulfill the requirement of someone familiar with HAnk and who would find the stuff that was happening objectionable.
But Cap would be a real stretch - the explanation would have to be really twisted.
I'm still going with Janet, with Betty a close second.

Hey, does anyone else think that Nick Fury has been acting a little dazed and confused lately? He doesn't seem like his old thinking-one step-ahead self. It seems more like he is being taken for a ride instead of grabing the wheel and driving.

Fury would be the most unlikely choice, but it could work. I'm switching my vote to Nick Fury.

I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR A LONG TIME NOW. DOES ANYONE ELSE SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ULTIMATES? WE DON'T SEE AN NEW "ULTIMATE" VERSIONS OF CLASSIC VILLANS LIKE ULTRON, BARON ZEMO, THE WRECKING CREW, OR GRIM REAPER OR ANYONE. ALL THE OTHER ULTIMATE BOOKS (XMEN ESPECIALLY) HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB RECREATING STANDARD VILLIANS. THE ULTIMATES HAVEN'T FOUGHT ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THEIR OWN RANKS. FIRST IT WAS BANNER, THEN IT WAS CAP AND PYM, THEN IT WAS THOR. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER, THEY'VE ONLY FOUGHT IN ONE BATTLE WHERE THE ENEMY WAS TRULY EVIL WITH THAT WHOLE CHITAURI THING. AND DON'T PULL THE MAGNETO CARD BECAUSE THAT WAS LIKE A 2 PAGE FIGHT AND HE WIPED THE FLOOR WITH THEM. EVERYONE ELSE THEY FOUGHT, INCLUDING THE XMEN, HAVE ALL BEEN HEROES. DON'T GET ME WRONG, IT'S A GREAT BOOK, BUT TO ME JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

First off, please turn off your caps lock key.
Second, The Ultimates are fighting Loki now, they just beat the Skrulls in the last arc and Ultron just appeared in the latest issue. I'm more interested in the great spins Millar puts on classic characters than in just seeing "Ultimate Wrecker".

I haven't read the lateste issue so I don't know about that whole ultron thing. Second, last i checked they weren't fight loki, they were just following what he said in reference to thor. I don't care about ultimate wrecker either. i'm more interested in seeing the new spins on character origins as well, but new spins doesn't mean kicking everyone's arse that's already on the team.
