Cindy - Don't worry I did give her a piece of my mind and told her to show some respect. Others joined in, but I don't think she was bothered.

Matthew was 37 and he actually recruited 20 year old Jimmy. Bless them both.

Scatty: I am sorry but if I had been in the crown My London MOUTH would of given her what for. Is it to much to ask for a bit of respect for a few minuets....

Weather so bad hee but nothing compared to what some people are having, a really bad storm frightened the dog and woke me up at 05.00 so gonna be a long day...

I joined thousands of others early this afternoon in Grimsby, paying my respects to our two local fallen soldiers Sgt Matthew Telford and Guardsman Jimmy Major.

Whilst we were waiting for the cortege I could not believe my ears. A young woman was trying to get through the crowds with a push chair and I heard her say, "This is f******g nuisance!" Well, I could have punched her in the face. I was so disgusted, as were many others standing there.


Otherwise it was a very moving experience. As the cortege passed we all fell silent other than, quietly aplauding those two young men laying in their coffins. Many threw flowers on to the hearses. May they RIP

Scatty Sorry to hear your suffering with headaches and sinus problems thats so painfull, hvae suffered in the past with that and nasty..Hope you are better asap. R.M.C does not have must parking at ALL just a few places out the fron, which we have allways managed to get into, but IS SO close to the shops and historical dockyard, always had a good stay when there.

Sheila Glad you had a good time in London shame about the weather, so MUMS going for it then a move to new place I hope she is very happy and enjoy the decorating remember it well, we decorated all my Dads apartment and new carpet etc all in 1 week was exhausting but bless him he was so gratefull.

KIM NFF Wow what a day, fancy you have the toilet roll problem I think it has happened to us all, better that.. then getting your frock tucked into your knickers!!!!!

Sapphire No I didn't do any Christmas shopping went away with hubby so wouldn't have been wise lol. Jamie is home at the moment he goes back to base a week on Sunday for a week then he has about a month off. Its great to have him home but he doesn't half eat. Hope Jay will soon be better

Took my mum yesterday to sign for her new flat in sheltered housing so its all go now. She wants it painting and we are going to move her a week tomorrow so I'm going to be very busy. Jamie is home just right and I also have a sister who is helping so it should be a laugh !!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the headaches and glad you are recovering. Not long now before Joe comes home. I bet you are all getting excited. With regards to The Maritime Club, they say there is parking, but what they actually mean is..parking for about three cars, but there is parking around the streets. When we were there, they were due to close the Health Club, but things may be different now. The Club is great for Gunwharf Quays, as it is only a short walk, so Rob will be able to have a bevvy or eight lol! Hope you enjoy the day. My only advice, wrap up well. I was there at around the same time (January) and it was very very cold standing around. You then have to wait until the Ship is secured, which also takes around 30 minutes. I hear there will be a Tea/Coffee Van, so at least you will have that to help.

Aww Myla Rose is so cute and growing up very fast. Christmas will be great for everyone this year. At least she will be able to climb into the boxes as well as rip the paper off lol!

Jay is due off for 3 weeks from tommorrow, due to working Christmas and New Year and taking time owing, but, unfortunately has been signed off with Tonsillitis for the last 48 hours and is now on penicillin, so hoping he will be able to get back home ok on the various trains.

Really good to hear from you. Thank you for the congrats and woop woops. It was an amazing day. Quite surreal. I have to admit to being quite emotional - I dont like a lot of fuss so was trying to stay chilled in the build up! The whole event was so well organised and planned, like a well oiled machine.

The funniest bit of the day was when I was in my group waiting to go forward to receive the award. I turned and spoke to the very glamorous lady behind me, asking her what she had recieved her award for. She turned out to be the founder of slimming world - which we in the office have been followin for the last few weeks! I thought Blimey - you cant get away from it even here!

Worst moment of the day - knocking the toilet roll holder off the wall in the toilets!

Loveliest bit of the day - sharing the day with the whole NFF team who came up to London with my family for a slap up meal afterwards! Brill!

Feeling a bit shabby today, but well worth it. Will ask Emma how I post a photo of the family when I am back in tomorrow.

Hello All

I thought I had better make pop by and say hello and let you know that I am Ok. I just don't seem to have enough hours in the day these days. I have also been suffering with bad headaches in the evenings for the last 4 weeks. I had a feeling that it was my sinuses. I've had sinus infections in the past and it seemed the same sort of headache. I'd tried inhaling steam and sudafed tablets but it kept coming back. I ended up going to the doctor on Monday and it is sinusitis and now have antibiotics. Tonight is the first time I've not had a rotten headache.

Enough of me. I hope everyone else is well. We haven't had too much rain. We have had some quite lovely days really and very mild.

Sapphire - If I remember rightly, you have stayed at the Royal Maritime Club. We have booked in there for the homecoming. Does it have it's own car park or is it find a space in the street somewhere?

I'm busy for the next two nights. Out tomorrow night with friends and then I have a lot of baking to do Thursday night. I have volunteered to make quiches and various cakes, to take in to work on Friday,to sell in aid of Children in Need.

I promise to catch up with your posts at the weekend and talk to you all.

Had a good time in London the parade was fantastic lasted 1 hour 20 mins It was a pity about the weather at the end though I felt so sorry for them in the parade it was blowing a gale and it rained that heavy everyone was soaked.
Taking my mum to see the flat this morning and the warden, if she likes it she could have the key on Monday. Its going to be a nightmare she has that much stuff lol hope she likes it as it will be brilliant for her

sapphire thats hard for Jay working over Christmas Jamie has it off he just has to do a 24hr shift on the 28th
