Oops, disconnected everyone, hope it was'nt too painful lol!

Scatty,
Sorry to hear about the headaches and glad you are recovering. Not long now before Joe comes home. I bet you are all getting excited. With regards to The Maritime Club, they say there is parking, but what they actually mean is..parking for about three cars, but there is parking around the streets. When we were there, they were due to close the Health Club, but things may be different now. The Club is great for Gunwharf Quays, as it is only a short walk, so Rob will be able to have a bevvy or eight lol! Hope you enjoy the day. My only advice, wrap up well. I was there at around the same time (January) and it was very very cold standing around. You then have to wait until the Ship is secured, which also takes around 30 minutes. I hear there will be a Tea/Coffee Van, so at least you will have that to help.

Sheila,
Glad you enjoyed your Weekend. Did you manage to do any Christmas shopping? Is Jamie home or away?

Nat,
What are you doing jogging around in this weather, you mad woman lol!

Cindy,
Aww Myla Rose is so cute and growing up very fast. Christmas will be great for everyone this year. At least she will be able to climb into the boxes as well as rip the paper off lol!
Hope Scott and Carl are ok jobwise.
Big kiss to Ian, hope the quiz went well

Ricardo,
You on the sherry yet in the Office, or is that out of bounds? You surely must be having a well deserved celebratory drink with Kim.

Jay is due off for 3 weeks from tommorrow, due to working Christmas and New Year and taking time owing, but, unfortunately has been signed off with Tonsillitis for the last 48 hours and is now on penicillin, so hoping he will be able to get back home ok on the various trains.

Kim Congratulations what a fantastic day.

Nat Hope you are not working too hard. have you got your tree out yet? Hope Craig is ok now

Scatty Hope you are feeling better now sounds as though you haven't got time to be ill

Didnt realize I had not posted..LOL..

Natty Glad Craig is getting better, how's he doing now all OK?. What about Camilla coming out of the jungle and Bugner going in, I don't watch it live as Ian thinks that sort of TV is the pitts, so catch up the next day.

Scatty Sorry to hear your suffering with headaches and sinus problems thats so painfull, hvae suffered in the past with that and nasty..Hope you are better asap. R.M.C does not have must parking at ALL just a few places out the fron, which we have allways managed to get into, but IS SO close to the shops and historical dockyard, always had a good stay when there.

Sheila Glad you had a good time in London shame about the weather, so MUMS going for it then a move to new place I hope she is very happy and enjoy the decorating remember it well, we decorated all my Dads apartment and new carpet etc all in 1 week was exhausting but bless him he was so gratefull.

KIM NFF Wow what a day, fancy you have the toilet roll problem I think it has happened to us all, better that.. then getting your frock tucked into your knickers!!!!!

Sapphire yes Myla Rose will have great fun at Christmas, she is just fun at the moment so gonna make the most of her..sorry to here Jay is not well, they do suffer with that these days in my day they wiped the tonsils out.

Weather really is boring at this time of year, Scott has applied for huge amount of jobs and signed on to many agencys but not allot out there, but hey ho that was his choice to leave. I have linked up with the minx that is Pedro on FB, seems a live wire..LOL.. takling of strange men...Ricardo are you there

Ricardo: How you doing, life work home the wife etc etc etc etc......

I joined thousands of others early this afternoon in Grimsby, paying my respects to our two local fallen soldiers Sgt Matthew Telford and Guardsman Jimmy Major.

Whilst we were waiting for the cortege I could not believe my ears. A young woman was trying to get through the crowds with a push chair and I heard her say, "This is f******g nuisance!" Well, I could have punched her in the face. I was so disgusted, as were many others standing there.

Otherwise it was a very moving experience. As the cortege passed we all fell silent other than, quietly aplauding those two young men laying in their coffins. Many threw flowers on to the hearses. May they RIP

Scatty: I am sorry but if I had been in the crown My London MOUTH would of given her what for. Is it to much to ask for a bit of respect for a few minuets....

Weather so bad hee but nothing compared to what some people are having, a really bad storm frightened the dog and woke me up at 05.00 so gonna be a long day...

Cindy - Don't worry I did give her a piece of my mind and told her to show some respect. Others joined in, but I don't think she was bothered.

Matthew was 37 and he actually recruited 20 year old Jimmy. Bless them both.

Hi

Scatty,
Glad you managed to get over to Grimsby. Not a good time for those around. As for that girl, what chance do the kids have when their parents are so immature and selfish??!!
Won't be long before Joe is home, countdown on!

Sheila,
You are having a busy time. Glad your Mum is happy with the new place. Hope the move goes well. We have not had many viewings at the mo. so will have to wait and see what happens after Christmas, hoping things will pick up.

Nat
Hope you are ok after your cycle ride. Not been on mine for a while, so will probably kill me when I do lol!

Cindy,
Weather a bit grim up here, but not as bad as Cumbria. Jay came home from Scotland last Weekend and, although the train had a slight delay, no major holdups, but he did say there was lots of flooding around, so thinking of all those in Cockermouth at the mo. Can't believe that some people have no contents insurance, especially when it is known to be a flood area, unless the Insurance companies charge way over the odds, as so often they do!

Ricardo,
Hello and Goodbye lol!

Gotta go and see Social Worker today ref "the forms". I reckon I'm in for a good slapping.

Sheila, you're welcome at my place if you like decorating. Where's your new house again? Glad your Mum likes her new place, Mums deserve the best.

Cidny, how are you today? How did the big quiz night go? Did anyone manage to answer ANY of Ians questions? What's the latest with Carl and Scott? Wow, seeing as I'm asking so many ?? Who won the FA Cup final in 63?

Sapph, you're looking well. Where's Nat and Scatty?

Work . . . .

Hello All

Has anyone tried to post a message on the new look RN Community Website recently? I have tried to post a message a few times now and it keeps asking me to add text which I have already done. I've given up but it's a shame as I want to keep in contact with others on HMS Gloucester Forum re the home coming. I've asked the webmaster for help so just waiting for a reply from them. When the NFF website changed I liked it but don't like the RN one at the moment.

Kim - Sorry it's a bit belated but congratulations. What an experience. I did laugh regarding your mishaps. I'm known as Scatty Jacqui because of the silly things that happen when I'm around, so it was refreshing to see that other people suffer the same type of mishaps as me.

Ricardo - How did it go with the Social Worker then? Did you get a telling off? Rob was keen to see 2012 so will tell him what you thought.

Cindy - Are you looking forward to Christmas a bit more this year with Myla Rose being an age where she will be able to understand a bit more of what is going on? I would enjoy it more if it wasn't so dragged out. I am quite organised though. All presents brought and wrapped and all cards are written out. I don't like decorations up until the week before though.

Sapphire - Yes, soon we will be saying they are home this month. I've already started to stock up on food. They have now gone from really freezing temperatures to really hot. Talk about going from one extreme to another. I do remember that time they were away over Christmas and New Year when on a deployment to the Mediterranean. As you say it was January when they came back and really cold. Joe didn't put our names down for passes into the dockyard as he didn't think we would be there. We went to the Round Tower and watched the ship coming down the Solent. We got some great photos. I remember I had just hurt my foot and was in agony. Also, because it was only a relatively short deployment and no big homecoming reception planned the arrival date kept changing, which was a nightmare for arranging hotel and kennels for Barney. At least this time things are a bit more organised. I can't believe Joe has been on the ship for over 3 years now. How time flies.

Sheila - How are things going regarding your mum's and your moves? I don't remember you saying that you were moving. You had better mail me your new address so I can send your Christmas card to you. I'd already written one to your old address so will destroy that envelope. LOL We are off to the Lincoln Christmas Market next week. I suppose you will be too busy to go.

Natty Noo Noo - I should imagine you are getting very excited now that it is less than a month to go to the Christmas celebrations. I'm excited that my baby (OK so he is 20 but he is still my baby) will be home just before Christmas. I don't see many posts on here from you these days, but I read all of your postings on Facebook. I'm not one to use Facebook often to be honest, but I do go and have a look at all the comments every couple of days.

Well, I think I should be off to my bed now.

Catch up again soon.

Jacqui x
