Ricardo Jamie certainly has got lots to tell us and he hasn't been put off, apart from the food !! he's lost a stone in weight and he's pale and spotty otherwise he's been ok

Scatty unfortunatly parents are not allowed to the ceremony I,m hoping there will be photos. Its sounds as though you had a good day in Lincoln I loved it when we met there its a lovely city and to see the red arrows my hubby would have loved that. Hope you had a good day in Meadowhall I have been there afew times there are lots of good shops but its very tiring

Its very quiet on here where is everybody? Lovely day here today the sun has been shining x x x

Ricardo - I know, 2 four day weeks on the trot. It was lovely. I have 3 days left to take between now and the end of the year. 2 of them will be taken going to meet Joe's ship and I might take another one to finish off the christmas shopping and birthday present shopping. We have a lot of birthdays in December and the first week of January, so an expensive time. I also think it is becoming harder and harder to know what to buy for people. How about you? Have you got all of your presents or are you a last minute person?

Sheila - That's good that Jamie hasn't been put off. He doesn't pine for his girlfriend too much does he? What a shame you can't see his ceremony.
As you say it is very quiet on here isn't it? I was thinking the other day, when you think of the amount of people serving in the Royal Navy, it is amazing how few of us talk on here. It's a shame. As for our day in Lincoln perhaps we could do it again sometime next year. I'd like that.

Well Hello there!

Hope everyone is ok. Just heard on the news about the flooding around Swansea and Aberdeen, so thinking of all those around those areas. Have a Naval friend in Swansea, so will have to check up on her.
Just got back from a fact-finding week in Somerset. Looking around the areas and houses. Nice to see so many beautiful houses that we can't afford lol! Had a brilliant week weather wise and came back to rain rain rain, so can't complain. Have someone viewing the house tommorrow, so will have to do an annual clean today lol! Have a problem with the dog, as he thinks everyone visiting has come to see him, so will have to hide him in the wardrobe or somewhere lol!

Cindy,
Glad to hear you are on the mend. Hope you did'nt frighten the little door-knockers too much lol! There did'nt seem to be many around us this year, or, we could have missed them, as did'nt get back home until early evening. Jack is going to a School Halloween party tommorrow and he and his friend want to dress up as the terrible twins from X Factor, cause, they say 'They are a couple of horrors'!!! Aww, can't believe Myla Rose is 1 already, where has that year gone?????

Sheila,
So pleased for Jamie and a big 'Well Done' from us. You must be so proud. Shame you don't get to attend the Ceremony.

Scatty,
How's things with Joe? Apparently, it is HMS Gloucester's birthday today, wonder if they will be celebrating.

Nat
Hope you had a good time with your Mum.

Ricardo,
Hope things are ok with Christina and Lynne.

Where is Lorraine, Dorothy, Vicky, Nicky, Sharon, Margaret and all those I have failed to mention? Missing you all.

Greetings chaps

Have MIL staying at the mo so we didn't get any trick or treaters.
Only joking of course. Christina's Mum getting a bit frail now so when we took Christina out for a lunch it was wheelchair in MIL's walking frame in to the car. get to destination wheelchair out, walking frame out, then it was in out in out shake it all about - Was well knackered at close of play.

Nat glad you had a good time with Mum & Bro etc. suppose it will make you a homesick for sunny Gib. Weather up here has been very wet.

Cidny, well again? thank goodness for that, thought you had man flu for a minute.

Scatty, you alright, all that shopping, you'll be well broke. I leave things to the last minute normally, tend to shop alot on line. Can't be doin with busy shops. I'm bad enough going to Asda's - all these lunatics who park in the road outside the entrance instead of using the parking spaces in the car park.

Are you looking forward to moving to Somerset then Saphh, surrounded by Janner types, not sure if I'd like to live in the west country -probably would - it is part of the holy land after all.

Did everyone see the news about the jock MSP's claiming for Remembrance wreaths on expenses - bloody unbelievable, nearly as bad as Prince Andrew fitting four different flights into one day - I love him as well of course.

Sheila, I'm glad Jamie got through his trip ok, I'm sure he'll soon put the weight back on.

Lynne was upset the other day when we were Wii ing and my wii fit age was 47 and hers was 54 - she forgets I was a bronze toned hero in days gone by...

Take it easy peeps

Ricardo Hope the lunch was good sounds as though you had a good time I,m sure you are still a hero not sure about the bronze toned bit though lol

Nat glad you had a super time with your relatives. You are not going over to Gibralter for Christmas then?

Sapphire Did you actually find a house you like in Somerset? My grandparents came from Somerset moved up to Derbyshire for work many many moons ago!!! I think I have only been once on holiday some lovely areas there though. Good luck with selling yours

Cindy pleased to hear you are feeling better. It means for Jamie getting his dolphins that he is a qualified submariner and also he gets a good pay rise

Scatty I would also like to meet up again next year I'm hoping to persuade hubby to go to the Lincoln Christmas market this year but we will have to see

Jamie went back yesterday so he could get his dolphins today and I should know later when he is coming back they are supposed to have alot of holidays after a patrol. Jess his girlfriend came to stay over the weekend as she lives about an hours drive away. They decided to get engaged so we all went out for a meal saturday night I think they are too young as he is only 20 and Jess is 18 but she's very nice x x

Jamie phoned me last night to say he received his dolphins in about 4 shots of rum he said he didn't enjoy that lol He is coming home for 2 weeks next Friday. I am off to the dentist this afternoon having to pay private again. Thought I would see if I could find a nhs one, the only one I could find was 10 miles away and I would have to wait 3 weeks. As I have had toothache all week I couldn't wait that long at least going private they have put me in today.

Cindy, Nat I agree its awful, prayers with the families

Ricardo Are you tempted? lol mind boggles what she will be like

Ricardo: Did you manage to fix a date up with the delightfull Miss Halima, if so I do hope she will be gentle with you,do let us all know how it goes, I think you could do with some fun and excitment in your LIFE !!LOL..what is it with toe nails as you get older talk about get thick and hard..LOL..I have never liked feet and with my manky toes not good..how long you got MIL down for then ??, she must get upset about her daughter cant be easy for her. So you have a younger fit age than Lynne bet she was fuming, but then as you say your a bronzed fit adonis. At the prime of your life?????

Sheila: Glad he got his dolphins, I love rum, dark rum is my fav, enjoy the time of with him, will he be going away in near future or is he around for a while ??I hope you got your poor tooth sorted out I really cannnot bear toothache, hope you have enough in the bank to cover a private bill, bad enough on the NHS dentist.

Still can not get over the killing in the compound, and now some guy has killed out in USA on a training base .. whats going on bad enough to be killed in war let alone on the bases, it really is doing my head in.
Scott lost his job yesterday thought it was coming TBH, so he is umemployed AGAIN. Carl says he is going to change jobs as need money, where he got into debt when he moved out he is paying so much every month on things and then has no real money after working all week. TOUGH being a kid these days they are offered so much credit, so easy for them to get in a mess...we help only so much they have to learn..

Hi
What a day, rain, rain and even more rain!

Thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those brave soldiers killed in Afghanistan. How can these people be screened to work in their Government? Not sure I would know where to start!!! Saying that, where does that leave our forces?!!

Ricardo
Look Out for the devil woman LOL!
With regards to moving, I am a Lancashire Lass through and through and always will be, wherever I live. Will miss family, but there are trains, planes and automobiles and even a motorbike at times, so can always pop home.

Sheila
Poor Jamie having to down the old rum lol! Think Jay had to go through some sort of Naval ritual when he joined his first Ship and he has to go through much the same when he crosses the Equator. He is not a heavy drinker at the best of times.
Hope you sort the tooth out ok.

Cindy
Sorry to hear about Scott losing the job. Was it his choice or redundancy?

Jay has just arrived home for the Weekend and Shane arrived to let us know that he and Hayles get the keys to their new home on Thursday and have a bottle of champagne lined up, so will definitely be around there, to help unpack of course lol!

Went to Remembrance Service at Church then walked to village Memorial, it stayed dry,

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
