Wow. Thanks for that gift of an interview. How encouraging to be reminded that "church" looks so many different ways, but somehow it always seems to come down to being known and in turn knowing others and loving them into the kingdom. We do have to stand firm in the midst of this world, but God promises to equip us to do that. Keep on keepin' on!

Ditto! Good article. love the parts about being humble and serving in a way that is culturally relavant. That is so cool you have been able to blur the line where church starts - it isn't a stupid building but a group - and that group can be out there in God's world. (bringing Christ to it one broken heart, one shredded soul at a time).

Good reflection on the nature of "church". As a church planter in Richmond, VA, I face having to redefine the body of Christ to traditional churches who serve as a support system us. I recommend you check out http://www.x-changes.org/ or www.centerpointrichmond.com. - it's relationships!

As a pastor in a "traditional" church community in the very untraditional greater Seattle community, I applaud the faith and insight of these two pioneers in returning the church to its roots. I also applaude the Nazarenes for having the vision to support their ministry. Your light cannot be hidden on"the hill". On behalf of Seattle, thank you.

So this is what they mean by incarnating the gospel.

I love what they're doing, but I wonder how they filter the (visual, literary, musical) art, if at all.

"Could my band play our song about how splendid it is to be drunk and promiscuous?"
"I need a space to showcase my painting series. Megalomaniac: the Jesus No One Talks About."
