You know, I'm soooooo glad that Some of you had the day OFF so that you could either participate in "the fray" or not! Some of us poor sots actually had to work today (no hard feelings, really) At least I didn't have to be one of those poor creatures that manned the check-out registers at one of the retail stores. Can you imagine? You'd probably be giving your notice the second you punched the time clock to leave for the day! RRD

Well, kudos... to one of you. I think you know who you are.

I'm happy to say that today I avoided "the fray".

I just got back from "The Fray". I stood in line at Best Buy at 5:30 AM. The line was already several blocks long when I got there. Needless to say I didn't get the item that I was looking for. I then headed over to Fry's Electronics. I did get what I wanted there but the checkout line was this weird Disneyland-like line that wrapped around the entire store through multiple departments. People were grabbing stuff "in line" to purchase as they waited the hour and a half it took to check out. "Ooh...look at that! It's free after the rebate." I bought a few of the freebies myself...sad to say. It's hard to function intelligently when you start your day at 3 AM and haven't even had a sip of coffee as yet.
