my line is basically from franklin and bedford county virginia-at least one grandson of caleb 1762-1824 went to texas in the 1860's. tell me how far that you can go back and i will see if we might be related. caleb had two sons ,thomas[my line] and william . he also had eight daughters. carl >

ben and grant what is grants fathers first name? what is his grandfathers first name? do the names orvile clarence or laurance or myrtle naomi or mary ruth sound familar to you? if you furnish me with the names of his parents and grandparents,i may be able to help you. i do not have a subscription to the yahoo group so please contact me here. i suspect that he might be a decendent of grant jacob,born 1864, or . his brother samuel,born 1859. they also probably had other brothers ,but i did not research further and will not unless i hear from you .this line goes back to abraham haptonstall of greenbrier county west virginia. carl hansen

I am helping my grandfather, Roy Heptinstall, research our Heptinstall ancestry. We have information tracing our lineage back to Caleb Heptinstall of Franklin County Virginia and have recently come across information on James Heptinstall and Rebecca Bohannon who are possibly Caleb's grandparents (or parents?).
