I have great hopes for organic LED technology. But we really are some way away from seeing cheap, reliable devices on the market, it would seem...

Strange, though, that it's the blue that fades fastest. On normal print, of course, it lasts longest...

Interesting! I should do a survey of extended batteries - third party addons, preferably. Boy! they do charge (and I don't mean electrically) like a wounded rhino for those items.

Anybody found a good battery for the ThinkPad X31 notebook? I just happen to have one of those...

/m44 There's an extended life battery for the UX50 at http://shop.brando.com.hk/pegaeb40.php if you're feeling rich.. Brando claim "Operating time of the standard battery is expanded in approximately 1.5 - 2.5 times". It's a problem though, especially if you don't leave yourself enough battery capacity to log off from BTOpenZone !

Sushi Sticks Yuck ! Really wouldn't fancy a block of raw (plastic) fish sticking out of my PC, but if they made some for the UK market.. I'd look forward to a 128Mb sausage, or maybe even a Mars Bar :-)

Described as "an idiot" by ex-colleagues at Symbian and "a genius" by Dr David Potter, who founded the company, and "who?" by Arnie movie fans, Juha Christensen now works for Macromedia.

He'll be in London in a fortnight.

A four megapixel still camera, and a two-hour high-res digital camcorder from Pretec - and the world's fastest Flash!

Of course, that will be the definition of a standard phone in 2006...

An odd one, this. You want GPS (or something else) on a phone. You don't want to flatten your phone battery. Most people have traditionally said: "OK, link to a dedicated GPS device via Bluetooth - a device with its own battery!"

Logical enough. But what if you could find a way of doing it without flattening the battery?

It's not going to happen any day soon with WiFi. But with GPS, well...

Thanks for that! - I'll ask PalmSource what they plan to do about it at the developer conf next week, in Munich.

I've got WiFi on my Sony UX50 and yes, it eats battery in a fairly alarming fashion when its on.
