Nicola Otta, not a fan of surrealism apparently, said, perhaps smugly: "Because the only 'mildly irresponsible' thing I see is your smug sense of humor."
Well, first, I thought Starchild was a rather lovely image. Second, I think my original swipe at CS was far more irresponsible than my "smug sense of humo[u]r."
Starbaby? So Star + Nino with the squiggle on the second 'n', but with "star" translated to spanish as a clue for the nino. I guess.
Not as funny as Corky and the Juice Pigs' joke about Starfish babies - kids born without torsos. But it's a cruel world.

Is "Estrellanino" supposed to be funny, or is it just another unfortunate example of surrealist "creativity"? Because the only "mildly irresponsible" thing I see is your smug sense of humor.

Hey, Zach --
My besmirching of Estrellanino (I tried for a squiggly above the second "n" but failed miserably; please imagine one there) wasn't specific to the book at hand.
It was just a general, mildly irresponsible besmirchification.
