Hi Merlene! Your cat is too young. To be safe, you are supposed to wait until they are 6 months old. My kitty is a male and 5 months old on 6-21-08 and I am going to wait until the September date to be safe..he is also an inside cat..hope that helps!
good luck
:)

We just got a new kitten yesterday he is 6 weeks 4 days old, the pet shop gave me this address for spaying and Neutering, I'm surprised we can get it done so young, my question is how early do males start spraying...I don't want this to happen for he is an inside cat.

I have two males getting spayed on June 1st at 12:30 and if an opening comes up for a female, please let me know (even if it is that day!) I don't want any more cats, we already have six and all are fixed except the three kittens (two to be done soon, yeah)!! Thank you!!

I need everyone in the Littlestown area to keep their eyes open for
my bird! I live on South Columbus Ave, near South Queen Street. He is
a cockatiel, gray with orange circles on his cheeks and a yellow
mohawk. His name is Tweet. If you happen to hear a bird whistling the "Andy
Griffin" tune, that is him!!! he has only been gone for a couple
hours,so hopefully he hasn't had time to hook up with the bad birds!
He is my baby!!! He follows me through the house all the time!!! Please help!!!! If you see or hear him, please call me, I don't
carewhat time of night it is!!!!

Thanks, Brandi

Kitz and Katz is gearing up for another big low cost spay/neuter clinic. If you are feeding a cat or two please take that next step and bring them in to the clinic. You will be saving countless kittens from being born with not enough homes to go to.Don't wait until its too late!!

I was fortunate enough to get my young female cats in for the next clinic on Feb 24. But the older of the two ( she is about 10 months old) is now in heat. She has been walking around the house yelling about it day and night..anyway, does her cycle make a spay procedure any more risky. I have heard with dogs in can cause excessive bleeding. I would hate to pass up this chance to get her spayed- not to mention risk her getting out and getting pregnant. Can anyone tell me how long a heat cycle usually lasts and if it could effect her surgery in 6 days?? thanks!

I am so happy for you. I thought about him when a lot and know how I would feel if any of mine were lost.
