Just wanted to mention that the weather man said that it was acutally warmer in our freezers today than standing outside in the -20 below + temps here in the northern wasteland! Gee, why didn't I think of curling up in my freezer today instead of going outside? Who comes up with these comparisons anyway??? Like we could get anything done in the freezer! I must say however, not being a native of this climate, I cannot stand to be out in it for very long. No matter how enticing the Ice Palace is, you won't find me WAITING IN LINE to get in to see it. Yes, there are actually people standing there in line to get in...for hours...or at least one hour. I have a coworker who went over to the Excel energy center to see something and she said that she saw people waiting and they were still waiting when she left there-probably human snowpeople by then! Maybe that's why they closed it-for the people who just don't have enough sense to NOT wait to get in while they freeze their tails off outside. I mean come on, you have to weigh the benefits. There will be other days to come and see it, right? signed, not a fan of winter cold or nafowc RRD

And my kids thought I was kidding when I told them that I had to walk to school in a blinding snow storm, barefoot and uphill both ways. Hah! Well at least it felt like I was barefoot and with the wind blowing, it felt like it was uphill...both ways. I wonder how my daughter is feeling in Nebraska.
