Tara...how much money was raised for JVFD/EMS?

Laura, Close to $2,000 ($1,842 to be exact)and we're stilling taking orders for t-shirts and bumper stickers. Great job, Tara and many thanks to all who pulled the firemen's ball together.

Tara and I took more firemen's ball t-shirt/sticker orders. We're about at the $2,200 mark. Close to the July 4th profits!!

Yeah! Nice work on the Ball, Tara and all. What a fun and profitable event that was. Thanks to everyone that got involved.

I added an on/off switch to 4251 (the Honeywell truck) that must be connected to start the truck. It also needs to be turned off when we put the truck back in the station. It is a knife switch located on the battery. When it in the off position we should leave the hood open so we don't forget to close it!

Come one, come all as we host the BABY TOWNER SHOWER next Saturday, March 29th from 2-6 p.m. at Jason & Gayle's home on upper Main Street! There will be munchies and drinks. Acoustic musicians are invited to jam. Baby Towner is a BOY who is registered at Babies-R-Us. No RSVP necessary...just come spread the love and join us in welcoming this new, special addition to our Jimtown Family!

I'm sorry to say that the BABY TOWNER SHOWER will have to be postponed due to the hostess being SICK with this awful flu. Stay tuned for a new date in the near future OR after our sweet boy graces this earth with his presence! Please spread the word and once again, I'm so sorry!

Thanks for the wednesday meeting reminder Rob. So I would love some help gathering some wood for the wood splitting contest. I spotted some nice trees just up 15th street, dead from the fire and without a lot of black. Thought I might look into a couple of those. If I could get 2 or 3 guys to help me out maybe late afternoon anytime tuesday the 1st through the afternoon of the 3rd that would be great. We only need a truck or two. On that same note, I've got a commitment for another load of oak blocks to be donated for the contest. I'm thinking of just splitting it amongst the top three. So warm up your mauls and tell your friends, let's make it the best one yet!

Hi Guys & Gals! I'm taking charge of the Town Photo this year (see info below). Can you possibly position the fire truck(s) for the photo right after the parade? Depending how many people are in the photo, we may need both the big truck and another one (possibly new EMS vehicle) parked maybe at an angle (like in a V-shape?) fairly close together. These nice local photographers have a wide angle lens, but the closer we can get those trucks together, the better. Can someone please confirm yay or nay to this message? THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!

Addendum to July 4th Schedule:

TOWN PHOTO @ 2 p.m. SHARP!!!

Thanks to our local friends, Bruce & Gabriel Felix, our annual Town Photo will be taken as soon as everyone convenes near or on the fire trucks!!! Gathering will take place PROMPTLY (not mountain time) @ 2 p.m.!!! Everyone is welcome to be in the photo, even if you are working at a booth at that time. Spread the word!

After the photo is taken, I will have them printed and I will distribute them and collect the money by August 1st. Price of the photo will be announced that day and all proceeds will benefit our very dear JVFD/EMS.

So, if you want to be IN the photo, be at the fire trucks @ 2 p.m. If you want to be guaranteed to GET a photo this year, be sure to SIGN UP for the quantity you desire AT THE RAFFLE BOOTH in the Big Park!!!

So I'm thinking of gathering a truck or two of wood on Wednesday. I've got an offer of help from Paul in Longmont. Anyone else for an hour or two? We'll could go between 5 & 7 on wednesday. Thanks, David
