I think there is not a think like fotolog. Here we have friends, real friends... and the $5 per month is nothing for the love we receive here.
My daughter and I received so much loving care these days, since the accident, that I realized there is no price for be a part of fotolog family.

Yeah I totally agree, and I have also set up a new Fotolog elsewhere. I am still testing it so I will not leave a link as yet. The service stinks, and as for "too many members of a certain country signing up", sorry but no one has ever complained of too many Americans on the Net for example, this is something to be sorted at the Fotolog server (and also Orkut etc).
But I shall return to Leiden one day and to the Naturalis :-)

i'm a latecomer to fotolog. someone who had been here for quite a while told me about it, and i loved it when i first signed up, but i, too, got so discouraged and frustrated by the temperamental service.
so I went to Flickr and am living happily ever after.
Still, I feel like I missed something with the fotolog, that at one time it must have been a pretty tight-knit group, judging by all the comments and support for each other.
anyway, sorry again for your troubles, but hey, this is a hell of a shot!

I don't really know why you did the cut and paste thing when you know it broke the rules and thus strained the servers and since you gave an alternative guest book it seemed a pointless gesture. You were trying to have the advantage of a paying member whilst withdrawing your fee. Fotolog is working completly normally over here. I have some insider information and the Fotolog budget is still very small as is the number of actual people that try and keep it working is very small and most people think the opposite. I can see the attraction of Flickr but it isn't the same and is not as interactive and my guess is that the number of visits per member is proportionately less than anyone would get on Fotolog. It seems from your last post that the e mail they sent wasn't fair. I think it was and , even though I am your friend, i don't think you have a case.
