vandaag zijn bianca en ik nog naar scheveningen en kijkduin geweest was ook mooi maar ook weer erg koud

I`ve migrated to http://www.fotothing.com/lorri/ this past week and love it. Check it out. :) I have visited flickr to see others' photos and didn't like the way it was set up.

De foto van het plafond in de oude kerk is met statief genomen. Het was te donker om dit uit het handje te nemen...
Ik heb samen met Gerda ter plekke in Delft een lichtgewicht statief gekocht. Dus gelijk uit kunnen proberen!

I think there is not a think like fotolog. Here we have friends, real friends... and the $5 per month is nothing for the love we receive here.
My daughter and I received so much loving care these days, since the accident, that I realized there is no price for be a part of fotolog family.

Yeah I totally agree, and I have also set up a new Fotolog elsewhere. I am still testing it so I will not leave a link as yet. The service stinks, and as for "too many members of a certain country signing up", sorry but no one has ever complained of too many Americans on the Net for example, this is something to be sorted at the Fotolog server (and also Orkut etc).
But I shall return to Leiden one day and to the Naturalis :-)

sorry about your troubles, smiling d, but your last pic here is one hell of a shot.
i'm a latecomer to fotolog. someone who had been here for quite a while told me about it, and i loved it when i first signed up, but i, too, got so discouraged and frustrated by the temperamental service.
so I went to Flickr and am living happily ever after.
Still, I feel like I missed something with the fotolog, that at one time it must have been a pretty tight-knit group, judging by all the comments and support for each other.
anyway, sorry again for your troubles, but hey, this is a hell of a shot!

I don't really know why you did the cut and paste thing when you know it broke the rules and thus strained the servers and since you gave an alternative guest book it seemed a pointless gesture. You were trying to have the advantage of a paying member whilst withdrawing your fee. Fotolog is working completly normally over here. I have some insider information and the Fotolog budget is still very small as is the number of actual people that try and keep it working is very small and most people think the opposite. I can see the attraction of Flickr but it isn't the same and is not as interactive and my guess is that the number of visits per member is proportionately less than anyone would get on Fotolog. It seems from your last post that the e mail they sent wasn't fair. I think it was and , even though I am your friend, i don't think you have a case.

da's jammer co dat je er voorlopig mee stopt... als je me nog vertelt waar dat "alternative" is kan ik er af en toe een kijkje nemen... maar dat gaat natuurlijk minder makkelijk omdat je niet gelijk in m'n FF naar voren komt springen.

wat die C&P gastboeken betreft: fotolog is inderdaad al een tijd bezig om dat te bestrijden, als ze merken dat iemand dat doet dan krijgt die persoon inderdaad zo'n waarschuwing, althans dat beweert Elke in het forum. niet iedereen krijgt die waarschuwing omdat ze niet systematisch alle fotologs bekijken natuurlijk.

ze zijn het ook niet zo eens met quicktopic gastboeken maar omdat die geen bandwidth kosten doen ze daar minder aan.

trouwens: is het je al opgevallen dat fotolog de laatste week (sinds ik van vakantie terug ben) ineens weer heel goed werkt? voordat ik op vakantie ging duurde het vaak een half uur om up te loaden, maar nu is 't in een paar seconden gedaan.

verder ben ik het met yolima eens. je komt vast snel weer terug!

Jammer dat je ermee stopt, aan de andere kant wel begrijpelijk! Wie weet tot ziens! :)

Welcome to my alternative fotolog guestbook. As long as the fotolog admin is not able to run their site in a decent way I am forced to use this one as my guestbook. So if you feel like responding to my pictures, feel free to do so. In the future this will also be my guestbook when my Golden Camera expires and it is REALLY reached the limits of 10 messages.
Meanwhile, enjoy life and don't let small things bother you too much... I am trying to do the same. ;-)
