yes, it sucks. its the wrong marriage of sans and serif fonts, and the serif font has a high x-height, which they have not compensated for in the correct way (which would be to add leading between each line)... i could get into more detail, but it would just be me droning on and on.

they hired a new art director, tyler clarke burke, who used to work there in the design department, and is better known for having her thumb in all the hippest pies. i don't know that she understands what good design is. she only knows what looks hot for the university crowd (and eye now looks like a college newspaper, for good or bad).
