Sister - unfortunately I think you are.
Ok - my daughter went down to the Yankees parade yesterday on the train. She was able to take the train to/from the city without being asked for a ticket. So that would be over $30 for her and most of her friends didn't have to pay either. She said on the way home, the ticket person never even entered the car.
With the MTA working like this, I know understand why the employers up here are being taxed!!! Did they not expect additional people on the trains, and didn't they realize that when you add trains, you may need extra ticket collectors, or get new employees if these aren't doing their jobs!
This was a perfect day for the MTA to make extra money and sounds like they blew it!!!!
