Hi, I found 15 squares:
1 - 7x7 (external)
1 - 5x5
1 - 3x3
5 - 2x2
7 - 1x1

Where is the 16th square?

I found the 16th square. Just to clarify, the diagram is drawn on a grid 7x7 (you can visualize and count this if you start in the top left and count each of the smallest squares diagonally to the lower right). The little yellow squares are 1x1. I kept missing the 5x5 that includes the top left corner because I perceived it as a rectangle, but counting the smallest squares reveals that it is in fact a 5x5 square.

Hope this helps other see all the squares.

I keep finding 15, no matter how many times I search the diagram. Would love to know where some folks find the 16th square. I printed it out and drew numbers in the upper right hand corner of each square to keep track of them.

I found thirteen SQUARES (not rectangles or incomplete squares)

9 squares, there are

there are eleven squares

there are 10

we think 16

There are 16.

There is only 10. There are some incomplete squares and others are rectangles. But as far as squares... 10.
