Hi, I work for ISH Inc. as a consultant for the Horizon Meds Manager product. I am a former McKesson employee with over 2 years supporting and upgrading the Horizon Meds Manager (HMM) product. I have experience with versions 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 7.1 (no one has 7.1 anymore), 7.2, 8.0 and 8.1 - all builds and all service paks.
In addition to experience with the application I have a high level of understanding of the various platforms this product uses: Oracle 8i, MSSQL Server 7 and 2000, Sybase (for the HMM 1.7 and 1.8 customers).
If you know of a facility looking for a consultant with a thorough knowledge of the HMM who is either upgrading their current version, needs long or short term assistance getting a handle on the HMM product then please pass my email address along
mmckenzie@ishinc.com
Thank You, Michael McKenzie

Anyone familiar with a company called Priority Healthcare? They are quietly eating up bio-pharmaceutical companies. Upon reading about them I was surprised that this market hasn't grown faster (other than the fact that the overhead has got to be outrageous considering the cost of the meds!).

JB,
My notes indicate that St. Vincents Catholic Medical Centers of New York in Jamaica, New York (www.svcmc.org) has partnered with and are under some sort of outsourcing arrangement with CSC and Superior.
Keep in mind though, this note is dated 6/26/2003. Good luck and let me know if you want to see the entire press release I have for it.

We are doing research on consulting firms aiding hospitals in implementations of HIS or CIS. Making good progress on FCG, Superior, CTG, etc, but struggling to find some providers where CSC has helped with implementation. Anyone know any hospitals where CSC has helped out?

No hints - I've said too much already! But, you could easily read between the lines by thinking about which HIS vendor DOESN'T have a pharmacy system already. I think that's a very small number (in fact, maybe the smallest number of all.)
It is just an unconfirmed rumor, but the source is trustworthy. And if it's true, the industry reaction could be significant and instantaneous.
