I don't know much about the Crinella project. It means change, and a lot of people don't want change in a neighborhood they moved to because they liked it the way it was. On the other hand, it's a good policy to restrict development to the urban (and village) cores, and hostility to development on rural roads needs to be balanced by a more welcoming attitude towards development in the village or town center. And, where housing is within walking distance of stores and shops and restaurants, this means that a lot of trips that would normally require a car will be made on foot.
I don't know how well that fits Forestville, though, because your main market, presumably the place you are most likely to run into your neighbors, is a bit outside the commercial center.
