The Old Grey Frog had to overseed this fall so that our lawn will remain an unnatural shade of green all during the winter months to come. Why? Because people who may want to buy my house will want to see a bright green lawn despite the drought. But we're getting rain right now so that makes it OK...right? At least Minnesota snow covers up brown winter lawns. We don't get too much of the white stuff here...except the dust...but that's more of a dull desert grey. And that green stuff called grass will have to be mowed once a week all winter long too. On the plus side, I don't have to shovel any snow.

Hey!!! What are you talking about??? I saw you out in the yard yesterday using your semi-new toy, the LEAF BLOWER on our Maple leaves in the front. I have to say here, as Mr. D's wife, that he was adamantly against the NEIGHBORS using the aforementioned Leaf Blowers. Reasons given were noise and Hoity Toityness. Then one day, he comes home with--could it possibly be? YES- a bonified up-to-the minute model of a tool that can blow off your driveway of debris AND suck leaves into its bag perfectly designed to hold 3 regular bags of dried leaves. He sucumbed! (sp). Anyway, to make a looong story shorter, Mr D did mulch leaves earlier in the season, but he pulled out the big weapon this last weekend and blew the leaves into a pile and then-sucked them into the bag worn over his shoulder and dumped that bag into about 4-5 black garbage bags for the trash man. Don't let him fool ya! He is just like our power tool hungry neighbors! Out there poluting the air with noise and being just as high-foluting as can be! The only saving grace is that he didn't actually blow them into the neighbors'yards-He couldn't..They were way ahead of him in the leaf blowing dept and their yards are pristene and void of any debris or heaven forbid-leaves! Signed, The wife (RD)
